Wink Ladies of Shangrala...Friday

Good Friday morning,

Today as you read this tell yourself that you are working on becoming the best person that you can be.

You are planning, choosing and being accountable.

The choices that you make will carry you through the day.

If you find that someone is making your right choices into not too good of a choice, let them know that you are eating healthy. Thank them for what they have and are doing, but tell them next time make it healthy.

As for eating what your DH brings home. Tell him that it is wonderful that he is so thoughtful. Seek out the menu find an ok OP item and tell him to buy what it is. OR eat only half. Feelings, his and yours, have to be taken into account.

Chinese food.....our favorite. I did like you did and was horrified by the point value. I not only had that day's points but half of the next!!
But, I said ummmm this was good, but not worth all the points.
Plan and put the plan into action.

Carry on. It is only one day and one meal.
Be proud that you were aware and that you didn't continue the pattern once you got home.

This is working.

Being aware of what we put in our mouth is half the battle.

We learn, we seek, we do.

We CAN and WILL do this TOGETHER.

Here's to a happy day filled with promise and control.

Hi!
I hope everyone is as inspired as I am Lady windsong great pep talk.

I can't remember if I posted my new stats yesterday. I didn't have a lot of time.
anyway, I lost 1# Yay!! I was worried I used almost all my flex points for the week last week. I usually have 14 or 15 left. So I was thankful to get 1#. That takes me to 201. And 1nderland is very close! It's been a year since I have been under 200. So I am super excited!!!

Come on now, let's hear from the rest of you ladies!!

So how is everyone doing? I can't believe I am still excited about this WW life! I have never stuck with anything this long. On 2/10 it will be a month. Which probably doesn't seem like long to some people. But it is the longest ever for me to stick with trying to lose weight. I wished I had thought to try WW before. But at least I'm here now. So that is what matters Right!?!

Hi Windsong. Thank you for the encouraging words. I think its wonderful that you had your chinese food, enjoyed it, then just got right back on track. You are right. It is one meal.

Hi Robin! Congratulations!!!!! Yay!!!! You are only one pound from that wonderful onderland. How exciting. A month is a great start.

I know every day is hard right now for me. EVERY DAY. Hee Hee . I guess it is just hard to readjust when I have created such bad habits for myself. So I have to relearn everything and retrain myself. I wonder if there is ever a point where eating right will be the norm and craving junk will be a thing of the past. It seems to me that I have always craved junk food. It has always been a conscious effort for me to make good choices. Even when I had been thin for years. But I guess I just didn't keep it around or make it accessable. I think it was more of a habit to eat right even though temptation was always there. I would like to get there again.

Yesterday, even after eating the mc donalds breakfast I stayed within my points with 5 to spare. I just really made good choices the rest of the day. So I was very happy.

So far today I have done well. But it is only 10 am. And I work nights so I have until midnight to get through with my points for today. But I can do it.

Well girls, I went to the doctor today for a physical. You see I always tend to ignore my own health (hmm, maybe that’s why I’m overweight) so last December my husband promised to quit smoking if I made an appointment for a physical. I did my part and so did he.

Anyway – It seems my lower back pain is caused by my weight, which I guess I knew but didn’t want to admit. Plus my blood pressure is somewhat elevated. All the more reason to do what I’m doing with WW. I’ve got a few minor issues (thyroid problems since I was in 7th grade 100 years ago) but everything is under control and I’m basically healthy.

So not only am I motivated to look hot, but I want to feel hot too. Well, as hot as a 45 year old woman can be.

Hi Ladies!!!

Sounds like we are all doing great and staying on track. I went to my meeting Thursday night, and lost....drum roll please!!!! 2.6 lbs. I am so proud!! I can do this!!

I did get kinda bad new though.. My Phy assistant tells me the Dr wants me to take diabetes pills but she also said if I get on my program( ww) and exercise everyday..He will give me 3 monthes to turn it around. I will turn it around. I will not take pills. I also will never let it get bad so I will have to use insulin. No way.

I do have to prick finger every morning...I don't like it ..I did it yesterday all by my self. I jumped about 10 feet when the needle thing clicked. It felf better when my daughter did it. Must find out why. Oh well. I can do it.

Will go get a snack and then get to bed. Love you you all.
