Mauvais Roux: Agreed I know what is in my genes and what I could expect if I led a lifestyle full of donuts, pierogies (I miss my dad's but know he can't really make them anymore), fast food, tons of fresh wehite bread and chocolate... It's funny, I was thinking of my attitude at 18 (basically the invincible attitude, and heck I weighed 230 back then) and how it is now. I know I absolutely have to take care of my health now (but I still do want to fit into my old size 6 wardrobe, is that wrong ).

Cheers!

Ali

Nope it is not wrong to want your old wardrobe back! I have a dress hanging in my closet that is a size 8 - I will wear it again soon...very soon....

How funny- I am from Ottawa too- we have probably passed each other in the street

Probably I used to live in Centretown (right above a bar too) and walked everywhere and everywhere (no wonder why I got so skinny), I've moved a few times since and now live out in Stittsville (I am still unpacking, we just moved 2 weeks ago). I work in Vanier though. Whenever you're in and around Ottawa (I haven't forgotten the core I swear), if you ever see a blonde car dancing in a Corolla, that's probably me

You will wear your size 8 dress again!! And enjoy shopping for new clothes too

Cheers!

Ali

Smile New here too!!

I'm new to the board as well. I just joined ww last weekend and have lost 8.5lbs already. I am very excited about continuing on this journey not only for myself but also for my husband and children. I have 4 kids who are 8, 7, 5, and 1 and I would like to set a healthy example for them.

This seems like a wonderful board full of supportive people and I have no doubt that just reading all of your inspiring stories of successes will help me to stay on track!

Good Luck to you all!
