Yup, I got up bright and early and went to my first WW meeting!!! I woke up at 6:30 (not on purpose!), I think because I was half afraid I'd oversleep and not get out of the house on time to make the 9:15 meeting.

But I did. And I got there. And it was great!!! :-) Even after getting the basic package, I armed myself with a few more points books to make sure I had everything covered. There's a fast food book devoted only to Canadian restaurants, which I think is wonderful.

The leader was great... very bubbly, and positive, and I noticed that she really knew some of the people there (and there were probably over 30) and took the time to give them some extra support. One woman just had a death in her family... the first she'd really ever had to deal with... and when the leader heard her say this, she made sure to give her a bit more encouragement. That really makes a difference, and says alot about how that group is going to be.

Anyway, I'm still on a little high... though I came down a bit when I got home and started figuring out the points of some things in my cupboards! ;-) I'm starting the program today, but I've got to get out for groceries asap so I've got all the proper 'tools' to work with!

I'm really looking forward to this!
