For many years, I've clipped recipes. I've finally decided to get rid of the clutter.
I'm planning to scan them onto my desktop.

Once I have them in files, a search feature would be great - so I thought about importing them (is that what it's called?)into my Master Cook Software 5.0 and putting them into a personal cookbook.

The only trouble with this is that I'm not crazy about Master Cook. Personally, I find it awkward to work with.

Can anyone tell me if there's a newer version of this software that might be more user friendly and that would work for this application?

At the same time, does anyone have any suggestions for storing and searching on scanned recipes - which I guess would be the same as recipes downloaded from websites?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Terry

I have Mastercook 6.0 and it is a bit clunky although I understand it is more import friendly than older versions. Although I have no personal experience with it, a program called Home Cookin' is an open database program that readily accepts imports. The downside is that it doesn't provide nutrition label information.
