Christian,
Great idea! Congrats to all who have set a goal and are knocking weight off each week to achieve that goal! We've still got about thirty days to work this weight off.
I feel I'm making more progress this week without starving to death. Both are important to me: getting thinner and feeling satisfied with the food I eat.

Good luck everyone. My WI is on Tuesday, so I plan on making this weekend a very good one.

Love,
Judy

Hello, ladies! Good to see that everyone has such positive attitudes about themselves and their weight losses!
I was happy to find myself at 170 this morning. That means I am down 6#, and have 5# to go in the next month. I FEEL slimmer! My jeans are all still way too tight, though, so I really need to get at it!
In exactly 2 weeks I will be finished my job in a small town 2 hrs from home, then I will be able to start going to the gym! Plus, I will be back in the city where it is a little easier to buy healthy food! (And cheaper!!) The only problem will be that I will not be working, which will give me more snacking time and will cut out the 10-12km of walking I do at work every day. But I can deal with that!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Are you way up north in AB, Diana? I am in Southern SK. Is it super cold there this weekend? It is starting to get chilly here again, it was nice for a week or so.

Tara, oh yeah, I'm way up north. 9 hours north of Edmonton. It's cold but not super cold, about -25C. But it's snowing like crazy and that is super. It's been like this a few days now, close to a foot of snow came down. We've had so many dry years here we need all the moisture we can get. Don't get too cold......bbrrrrrrrrr.....

BRRRRRRR....
The weather is cold here too! -1 F this morning with a high expected of 5 F and no snow here at all!!!! Not that I like snow, I can live without it, but working in edcuation, a snow day is always nice!!!!!!

Well I made some changes to my signiture, I bought a new, much more accurate, scale and, of course it is a full 10 pounds more than my old scale!!!!! The actual number isn't the issue for me, is it the pouds lost, so it doesn't bother me that the weight is higher, the decrease each week I what I focus on!!! This scale is closer to the weight I get when I go to the Doctor, so I expect it is more accurate. Also it is digital, so I no longer have to guessat the weights between 10 pound increments!

On another vein, I did make it to the Y on Sat. Not something I have done for a long time......I usually make it during the eweek at least twce, but find it hard to work into my schedule on the weekends. I am planning on going again today.

Well coffee is ready!

Lily- Don't let the number on the new scale get you down! You are so right, it is the loss that counts! Not to mention how great you feel as your clothes start to get loose and you are in better health and better shape! You have come a long way already, and should be super proud of yourself!
Diana- It is -23 here this morning; -35 with the wind chill. I agree- brrrrr!! We have quite a bit of snow around here this year too- it is nice, as long as it doesn't come down on Fri or Sun when i have to make my 2 hour drive with !
I usually eat whatever I feel like on the weekends, then watch carefully on weekdays. I am hoping this will help me make this a lifelong pattern for maintaining a healthy weight!
I see that a lot of you are combining programs- how is that working for you?

Lily, a new scale is always scary, I know that mine is not accurate, but I've used it for years, and someday I'll get a new one. Make that one of my reward.
Tara, be careful on the roads. Pack emergency stuff into your vehicle. Travelling with baby always makes me more nervous.
HAve a good Sunday,
Diana

Well, I have been hitting my goals with the food and the exercise, but on the weight, I have gained 1 pound! Could be that it has to do with all the exercise I have been doing...at least I hope!! Because I have been eating good and really exercising so the scale should start going down!!

Good Moring ladies

Well I am just going to admit it...I goofed !!! I ate lots of carbs over the weekend and have no good excuse for it The only good news is that I only seem to be up 1 pound so I think I can get it off before weigh in...or I am sure gonna try

Tara- I see where you asked the question on combining programs, and I will be honest, so far for me it works great! IF I stick to it

golfer- That one pound may be muscle and if you are doing all that exercise I am possitive that that is it Trust me keep up the good work and those pounds will definatly follow suit !

lily- I too bought a new scale and it was about 2 pounds more than the old one, and I too like digital scales

Diana- How was your weekend ???

Well ladies, you all stay warm...I am off to clean house for my dad today, catch you later tonight

Christie,
I did the same, I had a bad weekend with eating, not really bad but didin't count points. I still did all my exercising. Tomorrow I will count points again. I need to get on track if I want to reach my VD goal.

Well, I only exercised for 20minutes last night but went 7 miles on the bike. I have had this cold for the last few days and that doesn't help when trying to exercise, but I had to get some in! I have been doing alright with my eating. During the day I have been very good. FF Fig Newtons (2), special K w/skim milk, banana, baked doritos, salad...and at home I have been o.k. but not great! I haven't had anything horrible. But have had a cookie or a piece of pie. I am just getting frusterated!! I have been good and STILL I am not losing! I have been exercising 5 days a week for 3 weeks now and not one pound has come off!! I have been within my points (+ flex points) for 3 weeks and nothing... maybe 1 pound!! Any help of what I should be doing differently??

Hi everyone!

Well, I weigh the same as last week, so I will be carefully following my eating plan this week. I have kept up with the exercise and water, though. The plan: I will lose 5 lbs. by Valentine's Day.

Golfergirl, hang in there. If you are within your point range, are exercsing and drinking water, the weight will eventually come off. I bet your clothes are loser and you feel better, so those things are good.

Lily, forget the numbers on the scale and keep up the great work.

Christian and Diana, the weekends are hard for me, too. I'm glad we're into a brand new week.

SaskieMom, congratulations on your excellent weightloss!!!!!

Well, I'm determined to be good today. I feel so much better when I do the right thing. Here's to eating right, exercising and drinking our water.
Good luck, everyone!
Dena
