saskie - I really doubt you gained 7.8 lb in ONE week - at 3500 calories/pound, you would have had to eat an additional 27,300 extra calories in seven days. I was out of town last week & went to a WW meeting in Chicago. I supposedly had gained 6 pounds in one week's time. I knew that couldn't possibly be accurate, even though I was eating more than normal. In three days, I am already 3.5 pounds down from that number.

B:
Coffee (0/0)
Baker's breakfast cookie (2/5)

L:
Turkey/ham sandwich on 2 slices LF bread (2/4)
Carrots (0/4)
Apple (1/5)
WW 2 point bar (2/7)
BLT (1/8)

D:
Hamburger (4/12)
1/2 cup skim milk (1/13)
Steamed veggies (0/13)
Baked french fries (4/17)

Snack:
Lemon sherbet (5/22)

Water:
84 oz plus

Exercise:
Treadmill for 35 minutes

Saskie - I agree with katie - see my response to your other post regarding the gain.

Today is a new day, a fresh beginning, the start of Spring. I plan to get myself to a meeting today and get back on track with this whole "healthy choices for eating" thing. I believe I will probably also start the journaling from dinner through lunch - the idea really appeals to me. Here goes (keep your fingers crossed for an OP day!)...

Bfast
ff yogurt (2/2)
1 C. Kashi/GF (1/3)
coffee

snack
1 lf Pop Tart (4/7)
pickled okra - yum! 0

Lunch
salad w/ ff ital. dressing
Amy's Shepherd Pie (3/?)

Snack
ff choco pudding (2/ ?)

Dinner
sandwich
2 pcs lo-cal brd (1/)
turkey breast (1/
swiss cheese (2/
mustard
lettuce tomato onion 0

wine- 4 oz. (2/ )

Exercise - none

Water - 32 oz. so far, but will really try to work on it today

Katie,
Your gain was most likely due to a change in scale, thats great that over half of it has already "disappeared" I weighed in on the same scale I always do, but my pants do feel looser today, already. I think it was a lot of water , although I am sure at least 5lbs of the gain were "real". I ate like a maniac for the entire week before the gain, although I am not sure it was 27,000 extra calories- I would have to look in my notebook, as I always track the entire nasty process!
AustinGal,
So you are going to try the journaling starting at supper too? Let me know what you think! I think I like it already, it makes me look at the next day and how it will be affected by what I eat for supper/evening snack. Thats where I always lose control, so its good!
TonyaLyn,
I am trying to look at the whole experience in a positive way- I have been asking for a gain for quite some time, and now I can get back to the important thing- getting healthy!
Thanks for you input, everyone! It helps to feel supported!

saskie -
Actually, my gain wasn't a difference in scales - I was still up all those same pounds on my scale at home last weekend (even weighing in the AM sans clothes ). Monday, Tues & Wed is when the numbers started to edge downward.
