Hungry and Headachey? Advice?

  • When I get hungry, I eat some fruit. Apples, bananas, something higher in sugar. I used to get headaches if I ate too little carbs or sugar. It works great for me, but I know some other ladies can't have too much sugary fruits or they stall. Worth a shot, headaches are awful!
  • I get the opposite, too much sugar gives me a raging headache. Bosses birthday =chocolate cake = head wanting to explode.

    Should be a fun gym day. Ugh.
  • Because I worked out today, I made sure to eat extra, using all of my AP's from today and some of my WPA. And it was a protein packed day, and yet I still ended up feeling like I couldn't get enough food and ended up feeling weak. I don't get it. I'm eating a lot more food than I did before I started WW (granted, the food I ate before was much more calorie-dense.) I tried my best to eat super filling things. ie- after dinner I still felt hungry, so I made a fruit and yogurt smoothie with chia, hoping it'd fill me up... it didn't.

    I'm just feeling frustrated. I'm afraid of continuing to eat til I feel satisfied because I don't want to screw up my weight loss, but I also can't stand being hungry all the time!

    Try more 0 points foods. Add some veggies and fruit. Personally I am not a big fruit eater, but I can eat the crap outbid some steamed veggies!

    Maybe you are just dwelling on the hunger part? I mean lets face it, none of us are in our current positions because we enjoy being hungry, doing without, etc.

    Or maybe there is something goin on that you have not thought of. I eat my feelings. If there is stress, I eat. Good or bad I eat my feelings.

    Are you PMSing? I can never feel like I can eat enough about a week before that time.

    Or, i just thought of this, are you drinking sips of water between bites? Are you eating slowly? Are ou eating in front of the tv?

    All of those things trigger my eating/coping habits. I also know if I eat more carbs (pasta, bread etc) I do feel like I am hungry. I know I am not, but it feels that way.
  • The only thing I can think of is to up the protein. Add an egg with the oatmeal. Instead of the kashi bar have fruit with protein....peanut better or cheese.That would go a long way in the afternoon having protein I think. One thing I did to curb the afternoon hunger was make a huge pot of broth based soup and have that between 3-5. You are light on dairy and have no healthy oils.The oils go a long way in keeping you satisfied.
  • Try the simply filling for a few days. Eat power foods until you feel full. Any non power foods take from your weeklies and activity points. See if that helps with the hunger. That may work better for you.
