We had Chinese Friday, Ruby Tuesday yesterday, left over Chinese for dinner and Red Robin today. I feel so bloated. I have 6 WP left, so it's not too bad. I'm going to need to pound down water before Tuesday morning WI!! But I am proud of myself for not turning it around and thinking I've failed. I ALMOST had a piece of pizza today (even after dinner) when my husband asked if I wanted to share and I decided not to. in turn, he decided he didn't really need one either. Phew!

Back at it tomorrow!

Geekmadre Oh there you are! I was wondering where you went! I hadn't seen you post in a bit. Nice to see ya! And you're totally right. Heck, I am getting MARRIED in 17 months, I would hope the excitement for those pictures would keep me on track!

Holy cow. Last night we cooked so many meals ahead of time. I am hoping that this will keep me on track for a good week... Maybe kick start my attention to WW once again. We made: Enchilades, pulled buffalo chicken, stuffed peppers, sausage and peppers, Chicken and rice, Pita Pizzas, turkey meatloaf, turkey meatballs, and individualized rice and veggie trays for lunchs. All delicious, all fresh, and all happy (organic) cuts of meat. I have never been so excited to eat frozen meals! My knees and back still hurt this morning from standing in the kitchen for so long (I'm gettin' old).

smashlers, your meals sound great! Amazing planning! I feel like a slug for not even cutting up my produce and packaging snacks as planned. Anyone else have anything good on the menu this week? I made chicken marsala with wheat pasta and asparagus yesterday, which should last me a few days. Then I am making a quinoa salad when that is gone. I lost less than a pound this week and want to try to tighten up with the discipline. Really want to break into the 170s in May!

Ya'll - we backed out of the house contract. We had the inspector come and there were some MAJOR flaws in the house. We had a contractor come and quote us and it was upwards of $25k to every start to fix them. Honestly, we are 100% okay with it. Disappointed, clearly - but glad the inspector caught all of the issues to spare us thousands of thousands of dollars in the long run. Anyhow - I think I mentioned how ditzy our agent was, long story short, her boss has taken over our file and has already shown us two houses - one of which we've put an offer in on. 2 problems though - there is one other offer and because of the way the market is shifting in our area the appraisals are difficult because 1 years ago everything sold for super cheap and now with the market picking back up things are getting very expensive again... ugh. It's a true balancing act.

I did the 10k on Saturday. I walked the entire thing. My mom did it with us and she has a lower back injury, so I walked it with her. I was 100% okay with that. It was nice to just spend the time together. Regardless, despite walking the entire thing I still only finished 1 minute over my best time - which clearly shows how much my training has paid off!

Straightahead That is what I am trying to do. Get back into the swing of WW and tracking and eating. Sometimes, we all have to re-calibrate. In the 100 lb forum I was reading a post by lunarsongbird and she was just talking about how sometimes we lose sight of the bigger picture and that little things like photos or a particular person noticing a difference in you is all it takes to pop back into 'I am on a freakin' journey' mode (my words not hers, lol). So I am trying to get there. Can't stop. Won't stop.

SMF Oy vey!! I guess that is all part of the house buying game. Well crap, I was all excited for your timing with the moving in and the cats the vacation, and the whole thing. LOL. No sense in rushing into something to just turn around and be pi$$ed later.

My husband rarely eats breakfast and he sometimes eats lunch in his work van. So I eat breakfast and lunch on my own. But we always try to eat dinner together every night.

Dinner this week looks like this:
Mon- Crock pot Pasta Sauce with Sausage
http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/06/c...h-sausage.html
Very simple, but I need simple on Mondays.

Tues- Swedish Meatballs
http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/05/s...meatballs.html

Wed- Skinny Sloppy Joes
http://www.skinnytaste.com/2010/10/s...oppy-joes.html

Thurs- Leftovers

Fri- Tacos (I do a taco salad)

Sat- Salisbury Steak
http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/01/s...-mushroom.html

I'll plan out the following weeks meals and do grocery shopping Thursday, Friday or Saturday.

Thanks for the breakfast ideas. Eggs are probably a good way to go most mornings. I'll have to check out that PC egg cooker!

Fat Free Cool Whip...is zero points plus?...for real?...But it tastes so good!!

After 1/2 C. I start counting points for it. It's still only 1 or 2 PP.

I didn't go over my weekly points allowance, I did eat some not so great foods, but I got right back on track and I GAINED this week. There goes my April goal! I'm so disappointed. I am trying really hard not to go out to our local Chinese restuarant and just binge. Could it really be all the sodium left over from eating out Friday, Saturday and Sunday? I'm approaching TOM, maybe that's it? I just can't fathom being within my points and GAINING! UGH...

Congratulation!! It's so encouraging to read that if one really does do the work that reaching goal is obtainable. I look forward to hearing all about maintenance! :carrot:

Terrific job!!!! Keep up the great work!!!

I always enjoy reading your menus (along with everyone else's!) Please keep posting :D

straightahead 05-01-2013 07:23 AM

congrats, dixie!!

mrsd- sorry about the gain. Hopefully it is water retention from sodium and tom and will straighten out. Another caution is that nutrition info/ points from restaurants are sometimes underestimates of their true point values...I always worry about accidentally going over if I eat a lot of restaurant food

I am having a good point week....last week, I was regularly going 5 points over because I was hungry, but smart pop has been helping this week...lots of popcorn for a sstisfying 3 point snack. Monday I just sent one point over and yesterday I was satisfied when I was 1 point under. getting ready for the inevitable drop to 26 points!
