Default Onlline vs. meetings

Hi everyone,

I was on weight watchers years ago when it was 'winning points'. I see that it is now called 'points plus'. I used to go to meetings.

I'm wondering if I sign up on line will I receive the booklets (and especially the calculator which I used all the time)? or, can the calculator be purchased?

Any info would be appreciated. I'm just trying to decide the best way for me to go.

Thank- you,
Denise

Hi Denise, it's been a long time since I've looked in to the at home plan, but it used to be that when you signed up, they mailed all of the materials to you. But you have to live in an area that doesn't have meetings available. Here is a link, but not sure if if covers Canada - http://www.weightwatchers.com/plan/hom/index.aspx

These days if you sign up at a local meeting, you get a calculator as part of your package. They don't use sliders any more since they now factor carbs, fat, protein and fiber in to the equation and a slider isn't possible to calculate.

They are pushing e-tools and mobile usage a lot more than they did in the past, and unless you really wanted the paper materials, you'd get everything you need with the online program. Good luck!

Hey there - I do on line only and they do not send you any materials. However, the calculator is available for purchase in the online store. I find I dont need it though. I use the apps (free if you're a member) on my phone and ipad.

I had to buy my calculator but it's not very much. The first one is liike $5.00. so I think it's basically at cost for them. I like it alot.
