Hi everyone:

Saskiemom - I think I did OK this weekend. Got 14 miles of my tape in - so I beat my 11 miles of the week before.

Judmom - Way to go staying OP & doing your exercises. Keep it up.

Have a great day.

Judmom 04-01-2003 02:10 AM

the scale did not show a loss but maybe because of all the wayer my body is not use to that and also it is mt tom. It will show a loss next week.

SaskieMom 04-01-2003 12:49 PM

Judmom- you will prob have a huge loss next week-TOM is a nasty water retaining problem!! Hang in there, you will be rewarded next weeK!

WI tonight, will report back later!

Count me in!! I just missed my goal weight for the St Pats challenge.

My start weight is 193.8

Steps I will take: I will hit the gym 3x per week and work on the free weights for 20-minutes and work on the cardio machine for 20-minutes. I will also walk for at least 30-minutes 3x per week (this will be easy cuz I can do it during my sons baseball practice! LOL)

My goal is to lost 3 pounds by Easter.

If I meet this goal I am going to buy myself a new DVD!!!

SaskieMom 04-02-2003 02:28 PM

Good luck, Wendy!
Bandit2- Wow, you are really doing great with walking! I think I better start using my tapes too- we got a pile of snow yesterday! Congrats on the great loss!
I was down .6# last night- I am lucky I didn't gain! :o I will stay in my pts range more carefully this week!
DD and I went swimming this morning. My ex goal for the week is to do my 3 mile tape 3 times, and to do abs 3 days.
Have a great day!!

Sounds like everyone is hanging in there doing their best - way to go!

I have been so busy at work that I can hardly think straight, then when I get home between trying to work out and my dd I can't even think about the computer.

Weighed in last night was down 2 lbs - so I need to rethink my Easter goal it was to lose 4 lbs by Easter and I have lost 4.2 in the past two weeks which is kind of unusual for me to loose that much in two weeks. It usually takes me four weeks to lose that much, so perhaps I should I have said 6 lbs so I would like to lose 2 more lbs before Easter.

Take Care Gotta Run - hopefully will get to be more active in posting next week.

Susan

Hi everyone:

Had w/i last night - was up 1.6# Too much bread & not enough water over the weekend. I got 12 miles in last week - aimimg for more this week. Goal for this week is to stay within point range, exercise & drink my water.

Hope everyone has a great week. Bye for now.

chrim32 04-08-2003 11:18 AM

I have to admit that I haven't been doing well with my Easter challenge. I lost 2 lb the first week and gained 1.5 the second. I weigh in tonight but my home scale tells me I lost the 1.5 that I gained last week. That's something I guess. But not where I wanted to be by now.

The exercise is back on track. I've worked out almost daily since last Thursday. I had let my weight training slip - I hadn't done any weights for 2 weeks - but that's going well again. At least I'm feeling stronger, even if I'm not losing much. Exercising seems to help me eat better as well. So we'll see what next week brings. My goal for the week is to stay within points, drink more water and journal.

Chris

bandit2-Nice work on the exercising! You may even be retaining water due to muscle mass increasing. But if you feel like you are eating too much bread and not enough water you are probably right. It's good that you know what you can do to improve the situation!
Chris- Congrats on getting back at exercising! Let us know how WI goes for you! There will always be more challenges, it is important to do like you said, and get stronger!

I had another fairly bad weekend, I ate like a "normal" person, and as of Monday am my home scale had me up 5#. I journal even through these high days, though, because I know that this cannot be a lifetime way of eating for me unless I do have high days as well as the low!
Even though I ate high on the weekend, I also got tons of walking in. We were away from home from 8:30 am until midnight. I got in many hours of shopping/walking, carrying baby, and rocking and bouncing baby. I did not feel guilty about any extra pts that day!!
There is still a pile of snow and slush left here, but I invested in a weather shield for my stroller, so I think we will give it a go this afternoon.
WI tonight, will not be surprised if I am up- hopefully no more than 2-3#! :D
Have a great day!!

bandit2 04-08-2003 01:55 PM

Chris - Good for you with getting back on the exercise track.
Hope you have a good w/i.

Saskiemom - Good job getting your walks in. We still have snow here too. Last weekend ice everywhere - YUK!
Good luck on your w/i & I think it is important to go to our meetings even if we feel we will be up. A few times I thought I would just skip it since I knew I would be up, but went anyway & sometimes I wasn't up but even if I was I always felt better for going. Good luck :-)

SaskieMom 04-08-2003 05:39 PM

Bandit2-You are so right about going to the meetings. If I didn't have to work at the meeting tonight I would probably just eat whatever and go way over. I didn't go for a walk today, and I am having a lot of trouble getting the enthusiasm up to commit to the program lately.
Oh well, I have almost all my pts left for today, and tomorrow will be a new day. I'll report in later with my WI.

SaskieMom 04-08-2003 11:16 PM

Well, i must have my dd to thank for this week's WI results. Even with the mega off pts weekend and less exercise i still lost 1.2#. I think that puts me almost at my goal for the challenge!!! I hope this will help motivate me to get through a yummy bridal shower tomorrow night!!
