Unhappy Walk of Shame Back to WW

So i have been off WW since May when i had surgery....long story short i gained 20 POUNDS i'm soooooooooooooooo upset i can't even explain it. I'm the heaviest i've been in probably 10 years. I was doing so well then all my inhibitions went out the window. My father past at Christmas last year so went through all the firsts and i had stomach surgery. I told myself that if i didn't go back that what was the alternative? Gain more? So i'm hoping to get back on track and drop at least the gained weight.

That's the great thing about Weight Watchers, there is no walk of shame, even if you're going back into meetings. Everyone should be more than welcoming and glad to have you back! I've been off it for almost a year due to financial problems, but just started back and feel great! Welcome back! I hope you have a great first week and continue to stick with it!

Sounds like a walk of VICTORY to me! You go and take care of yourself and give yourself a big hug for doing it.

I'm sorry about the loss of your father.

Hey Pointspluspioneer I'm glad to see you around.

I know that you were having troubles following your surgery. Dealing with a loss in your family, and undergoing surgery is a lot to handle.

I am happy to see you back. You're absolutely right. Returning now is always better than waiting longer. If not now, when? Yes, it might be difficult knowing that you're facing a gain, but it's better to face it now and lose that weight than to ignore it and in another year be facing a bigger gain.

You can do this. You can do this right now.

Have patience. Focus on the great things you can do for yourself, and your health. The weight will come off.

I hope to see you around the boards often.

I'm sorry you regained - my Dad died about the same time yours did - and last year was a bad year for me as well. I've never had somebody that close to me die, and there were a lot of emotions that I'd never experienced before, and that drove me to food. But I finally swept myself off last month and rejoined WW too. I know Dad is clapping for me at every weigh in, and I'm sure yours is too.

Congratulations on going back! Try and celebrate that you did go back (some people wouldn't have) and focus on the positive. (I know, that's much easier said than done).
I also recently returned to WW after falling off the wagon (again) for a few months. I had lost 32 pounds, and managed to gain back 27 of them.
Have a great first week

I'm sorry about the loss of your father.

Great job getting back on program though. Life is always going to throw us curve balls. It's how we handle it that's important. And like Jennifer 3FC said, celebrate your return, a lot of people would have just given up.

I would gain and be too embarrassed and mad at myself to go back to meetings, only to gain more! Going back is the most difficult step. You've broken a vicious cycle. I used the excuse of chemotherapy and 3 major surgeries in 13 months to eat whatever I wanted. Finally got tired of seeing the scale go up and up at the doctors' and now I am eating healthy (lots of fruits and vegetables) and feel great. Keep at it. You will get there.
