Default Freeze Dried Fruit points?

Okay so I picked up a packet of freeze dried fruit. The only ingredient is the fruit. e-tools says it's 1 point for 1/3 an oz but if it's fruit and fruit is free why isn't this

It might have to do with the fact that dried fruit is a higher concentration of sugar?

The same is true of regularly dried fruit with nothing added.

The reasoning I've heard is that it is a lot easier to eat multiple servings of dried fruit than fresh. For example, if hungry, you're likely to eat one apple. But that same volume in dried will be 3 apples. Hence, more calories, which ultimately is what it's all about.

Fresh gives you the benefit of water, your body having to break the food fibers down, etc. which dried does not.

Only fresh fruits are 0 Points.

Dried fruit and fruit juices are counted as Points.
