Default going it alone?

After 7, yes, 7 joins and rebound ive decided just to use my ww calculator and try it myself, does anyone else do this and if so, have you been successful? I just cant afford it and often have to take the kids, and just weigh in so im paying £5.99 to weigh myself!

would be nice to chat to people doing the same! Xxx

Yes m'am, I just lost 50 lbs in 1.5 years* by doing WW principles on my own. My husband was doing it officially through his work site, at the tail end of Momentum and the beginning of Points Plus, so I got to use all his materials. I created a fancy lil' spreadsheet to track my meals, activity and their points- it even deducts from my daily total so I know automatically if I'm at goal, or over points for the day. I use Google/ Myfitnesspal to check nutritional stats on food, and I use 3FC for the support.. so it IS possible to be successful.

*(I could have lost weight faster, but I took a couple 1- 2 month breaks off when I got too stressed out.)

I lost about 45 lbs in 6 months doing it alone (then went off plan and gained it back. Oops. But I'm down almost 60 now doing WW online!). I kept a little notebook as a food journal and came here for support! Definitely possible.

My niece and nephew did it, the copied materials when her dad joined. I think you could also buy books. I like the tracker so much, would miss that, but I understand your need. I think coming to 3 fc can be quite supportive and with your knowledge about the plan may be enough for you.

I am doing it on my own and come here for support. I also use myfitnesspal to double check the nutrition. My loss has been slow but I feel good and am creating (what I hope) are life long habits.

( they have to be since last weekend I took all my bigger clothes to goodwill so I can't grow into them anymore)

I did that too Nancy, i did a total clear out of my closet. Its a great thing to do. I couldnt believe my jeans.... and how big they are now, even after just losing 60lbs. I kept only the biggest pair i ever wore just for motivation, since i know they used to be skin tight. When i feel like i am having a fat day, i put those on and look at where i was and where i am now. It helps so much. Plus its motivating in itself to shop and try on new things you may not normally have ever worn... for myself - skirts. Never in my life have a worn a skirt, then i decided to wear a skirt out a few weekends ago. Felt like a million bucks

I do it alone at home, but I make a point to log in here to get support, tips and to have someone to celebrate with when I succeed.

It can be done

Right now meetings aren't available to me. So, there's no other option but "alone"... And, yet, I honestly don't really think of this as alone.

I come on 3FC very regularly and talk with others. My own mother has lost over 100 pounds and I chat with her about weight loss. My husband is very supportive of my efforts.

As long as you build up the support system that you need on this journey, then you won't be alone. You'll just be doing it slightly differently. But, still successfully!
