I had a big (for me) loss last weigh in. The scale last week at home was right on point too...it was the correct weight i was seeing (although i thought it was wrong - too good to be true). This week my scale has been WAY up...does that make any sense? is it normal to have some super low fluke weigh in and then it shoot right back up? weighed in at 215. Scale today says 220. Any thoughts on this? ive been eating well this week and under my points even (only by 1 or 2).

Also, i went to the store today since mom wanted to buy me some new jeans. I must have tried on 15-20 pairs of jeans. All were just horrifying. I am totally inbetween sizes and i cant beleive how some brands sizes differ so much. I didnt end up with any jeans and felt as low as could be today. ugh.

lol the only jeans i own are (im think they're called) mom jeans. The kind that have that huge part that covers the stomach. I've been in between sizes my whole life, so i feel ya

When did you last weigh in at 215? I'm willing to bet it's water weight. TOM, hot weather, inflammation (which I get when I workout too hard) are all contributing factors. I would say the 215 is not the fluke, but that the 220 is. :)

As far as jeans are concerned- I'm all about hitting the Goodwill/ thrift shops for my between-sizes size, cuz I can't be bothered spending $30+ on jeans each time I go down. Maybe hit up a thrift shop and see if you can find something that's already broken in and comfy? :)

I weighed in at 215 on Saturday. I know its only Tuesday but i dont even know what to beleive anymore lol. Im hoping it is water weight then. It has infact been quite hot here, and humid! I worked out like a maniac on saturday and then i was at the gym again for a lighter routine yesterday. Will be back there again tomorrow.

nd good idea with the broken in and comfy jeans. i think i will try that out. I had thought about it, but my mom goes and does the thrift circuit daily... she loves those shops and she has been specifically looking for jeans for me (she knows me better than anyone and what will fit me, usually just by looking at them). She said she hasnt found any she really thinks will work out.

Jinksie, they have those type of jeans here at a store close to my place... called "not my daughters jeans". my mom has been after going to try some of those out cause she hates the type of jeans that cut you off at the waist, she has been wanting some with "bum room". A lot of jeans are those hipster types, and please... lord.... take AWAY the skinny jeans! no one should ever wear those :(

mine are nice though and comfortable. Not that i wear a shirt so high, you'd see it, but it has a sewn in pattern too. Just the very top of it, where my waist comes in (above hips) its super loose. Nothing ever fits me 100% =p

and i only shop at thrift stores :S lol (with the exception of a few items).

All I feel you with the jeans issu! I'm stock between 2 sizes and it's like I won't ever moove from there. A girl at my work place, who is also on WW but who is maintaning right now , is like ''okay you really need to go shopping, they don't fit you anymore''. I WANT to go, but if I try a smaller size, it's way to thight I end up with the biggest muffin top ever. :/

I hate shopping for jeans! :(

This is what I do, too. Jeans are SO expensive in a regular store, even something like Walmart or whatever is too expensive for me when I know I'll have to buy a smaller pair in a few months. So I hit up thrift stores.

Another great resource is Great Clothing Exchange, which is a website where people (mostly women) post clothes they want to give away, usually because they are now too big. You leave a comment on each item you're interested in, and at the end of the week it's a random drawing. If you "win" all you have to pay is shipping. There's a huge variety of clothes and sizes. I got a pair of Old Navy jeans for about $5 this way. :carrot:

I'm back from the beach. Gotta bad sunburn but managed to lose .6 while having some great meals that I'm sure were not WW friendly. So I'm happy with that.

But now I need to hunker down. My loss has stalled out the past few weeks. I need to fgure out why and get back to loosing better.

SkineeMinnee 07-06-2011 04:28 PM

I hear you guys about clothes. Ugh. I have lost 27.4 pounds. Yet I have no dropped a single size. Still in size 16s. Highly frustrating!

I hear that! When I lost 30 lbs last summer, my big hangy muffin-top really started disappearing, I dropped from a 18 to almost 14 in pants, and you could see the loss in my face. Between then and now I regained 16 lbs, was back into 16-18's, and the hangy belly filled out again. Then, in the last 2 months I've lost nearly 20 lbs, am I'm still wearing those dang 18's, my belly has barely shrunk, and I don't see much loss in my face. I know it must be an all-over loss, but it's still frustrating. What the heck? :?:

:)

Why does it seem I'm losing all my weight from my collarbone? Haha. :)

Chele615 07-06-2011 06:32 PM

Is anyone else having trouble with the "first unread post" part of the threads? It only seems to not work on the WW part of the forums. Kind of annoying! haha Didn't know if it was just my computer though.

lol i gauge my weight loss by how prominent my collarbones appear; which sounds weird, but when you lose weight, seems to be where it starts... - heck knows why

girlsenberry 07-06-2011 08:44 PM

Not me man, I think my boobs are the only thing prominently shrinking. And they weren't big to begin with. Dang it. :(

:D
