I started WW in Oct 2009 and have lost close to 50 lbs in 18 months without any exercise. Now, my weight loss has stalled for months. I keep losing and gaining the same 5-8 lbs. Yesterday I joined a gym. This morning I went in for about 45 min before work. I plan to go at least 3 x wk. I feel like the weight loss I have achieved was possible with WW food plan only but to move forward, I need to incorporate some exercise.
One of the posters above mentioned that she did not feel pressure to work out in the gym but mostly went to have fun. I agree.
I am exercising but the main reason is to help lower my blood pressure, and get my heart healthy. I know I can lose weight without it, but as a new mom I need all the energy I can get, and exercising does that for me!
I only exercised a little the first few months. Mostly walking and ellipitical. I was able to lose with little exercise, averaging about 2 pounds a week. Now that I have lost 35 pounds my weight loss is slowing so I starting to add more exercise and increase the intensity.
