Default Stuck at 173! Frustrated!

I am in a rut, and I need to get out of it badly!

I've been stuck between 173 and 176 for the past 3 months. There. I've said it. I weighed in at 173 after the first week of the switch to Points Plus. That's at least 3 months, because I know it was in December. It may have even been early December...I can't remember.

Anyway, I don't know what to do! I keep getting stuck losing half a pound or gaining one.

I don't claim that I'm following the plan- I'm so on and off with it. What can I do to become more motivated?!

I don't know why I'm not just motivated enough by the fact that the plan WORKS for me...that should be enough...but it isn't. I know posting this will make me kick my @$$ into gear this week, but what about next week? And forever? How do you all stay motivated on this plan long term?

I know I can maintain- I've been doing that for 3 months. The problem is, I still have 20 lbs minimum left to lose. 30 is probably more realistic for my height.

Ahh! So frustrated.

First, I'd like to say that I love your signature.

Now as far as motivation goes - it's the single most flightiest, finicky emotion that I've ever experienced! I don't count on it anymore. I just have to use determination and committment to get me through the day, and accept that I lose weight slower than the spawn of a turtle and a sloth. And I get up and repeat it all over again, because all I can count on is me.

I was having a hard time motivating to go to the gym last night. And I posted on facebook that I was lacking the motivation... I had some good friends tell me to go put on a pair of jeans that were too tight. So I figuratively did so and got my butt to the gym. I like to put myself out there to my FB friends, and they are holding me accountable to my weight loss plan! Maybe you could try something similar so you have some person/people to figuratively kick you in the butt to keep you on track.

Honestly, the PP wasn't working fast enough for me, so I am combining that program, the meetings and calorie counting. And since I've changed that little bit, it's coming off much faster and consistently. Hope this helps you! And HP rules!!!!

I'm right there with you, Varsity. I have been stuck between 170-172lbs for the last month or so...

But, like you, I have to be honest with myself and realize that i'm not watching what I eat as much as I should.

It's so hard to stay motivated but that is why I come here. Reading posts by all these women that are experiencing the same journey that I am and hearing about their losses and seeing what works for them is my motivation! Just keep coming here, sharing your journey and reading about ours! It helps, I swear!
