Does this make sense??
Okay, confused here. For those who attend meetings, how much weightloss is too much too fast? I thought 1-2 pounds a week was optimum.
I am doing Weight Watchers online. I love the program, and can live my life this way. My official start date was January 8, but I actually started with some of the old Core materials back around Thanksgiving, and had already lost 8 pounds, so they are tracking me from 1/8/11 (265)to yesterday my weigh in day. I weighed 249, for a loss of 16 pounds in the 8 weeks I have been on plan. (My actual start weight was 273)
When I entered my data,a warning flashed on the screen that told me I am losing too fast!!!! With a whole bunch of hints on slowing down the weight loss. Now, the data is a little skewed because I had the tummy flu for one of the weeks there, and lost 5 pounds, but most weeks since then I have lost a pound or less. Even subtracting the 5 pound week, I am losing at a rate of 1+ pounds a week and not feeling deprived.
It is so funny, I have let go of the need to see a certain amount of loss each week, am counting my success by staying on plan and feeling healthy, and they say I am losing too fast. The suggestions were to make sure I am eating all my points. (I am averaging 29 points, my allotment is 33, and I usually eat about half my weeklies......love, love, love having them.) I feel like this is working, and that I have room to tweak the plan later if I need to. The warning made me wonder if somehow I am sabotaging myself??
