Default Filling up on zero point foods. XD

So I had come home intending to make this big balanced meal, however, the veggies(broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, grape tomatoes) were done first and it was a big portion, so I ended up eating all of those first and then the entree didn't come out quite as well so I only had half of it.

I had a little snack and something for "dessert" too, but this still leaves me in a big deficit as far as points go! It's about 6:45pm right now, and I don't want to be eating late, but I'm unsure if I should just wait a little while and see if I get hungry for something else tonight. I'm at 20/30 points right now. Thoughts?

This is the point in which I would treat myself: a glass of wine, a spoonful of peanut butter, a small square of chocolate. I like giving myself small treats on days when I'm low in points....although, I would most likely cap that treat off at 6 points, so I could have something a little later IF i got hungry

I'd have some almond butter and wine, and next time I'd use oil to cook my veggies.

Well, since we don't *have* to meet out daily points target every day, I wouldn't worry about it. You've already had a snack and dessert, so I personally wouldn't have more junky stuff just to add points. Did you get in all your GHGs for the day? I'd look at that more than points.

I'm going to go with Ducky on this one. Treat yourself!! I'm also assuming you got all your GHGs in.

LitChick we do have to eat at least 29 points every day. It is in your materials.

WW also stresses not to eat 0-point foods to the exclusion of healthy foods with points. We also have to eat all our GHGs every day. Why did you eat so many vegetables? The plan, if you read the patent, builds in 9 servings of fruits and vegetables so if you have more, you should count the points.

Why did you eat a snack and dessert but not something healthy like protein?

If you have points for a treat go for it~!

What is GHG? Am I missing something? I just thought there were points.

and also to clarify to QuilterinVA... so you do not have to count fruit or vegtables if you are on the points plus plan unless you go over 9 servings of each or combined?

Isn't it okay to treat ourselves once in a while...especially if we're low on points? I thought that was the whole point of Weight Watchers. Not depriving yourself.

If you are not hungry...don't eat! We should listen to our bodies and not eat because we can (that is what got us here in the first place!) Your body will NOT go into starvation mode by eating less calories for a day here and there, in fact just the opposite..changing calorie intake up from day to day has been shown beneficial. So if you are satisfied, go to bed feeling good about eating all those veggies!!
