Default Help! Recipe builder help!

Ok, I have been on the online program for 6 months and have been doing great. I love my e-tools and use them everyday.

However, I am ashamed to say I have never used the recipe builder.

I tried once and was completely lost, had no idea what I was doing so I just gave up on that.

I am making turkey chili tonight and want to get my points per serving accurate and figured my only option was to give the builder another go. But I have NO idea how to do it.

Can anyone help?

Do I just put all the ingredients in the builder, with the fat/cals/prot/fib per serving?? How do I figure out how much a serving of the chili is?

Ugh I am so lost! Heeeeelp!

Add the ingredients to the builder in the same quantities that you're using for the whole recipe. At the bottom, there's a place to say how many servings the recipe makes and it will give you a point value per serving.

HTH!

Thanks Peanutt, I guess my question is how do I know how many servings to put in for the recipe?

Does the recipe you're using say anything about how much it will make? If not, I'd probably just wait until the recipe was made and then figure out how much chili there was in the whole pot and how many servings it could be. For chili I'd probably use a 1 cup serving and just figure out how many total cups I made.

Oh, ok. That makes sense. lol

I am just using my own recipe. So nothing written out. I guess I will get my measuring cup out and measure it all out. At least I only have to do it once.

Thanks again.

Yep, you'll be glad you went to the trouble the next time you want to make the chili!
