Happy New Year!!

  • I know it's still early but Happy New Year

Last year I made a New Years Resolution to lose weight and I stayed true to myself this time. 2010 was my year and I can look back and say it was the best year I've had compared to previous years where I was miserable.

This year my resolution is to have another great year and continue on the journey I started almost 1 year ago. I will make it to goal eventually and if it takes an entire year to lose this last 30lbs I'm ok with that! I am finally at peace with myself and feel comfortable in my own skin for the first time in my life.

    Anyone making any resolutions?

Here's to a great year for everyone! 2011 is truly going to be wonderful

  • Ahh yes, the new years resolution time. I've been giving this some serious thought this year, making goals that are attainable! I of course, always say I will lose weight in the new year, and its always in a depressed, self defeated way, but this year I know I will!! I didn't start my weight loss journey until September but since then I have lost over 30 pounds! I still have 70 more I would like to lose, so that is my first 'resoloution' I also want to start jogging, and keep at it no matter how hard I find it, and I want to find a way to make it not hard haha. I also want to hike to the top of a local mountain with my husband and not have him have to wait every 10 feet for me to catch my breath! I have been to the top a few times when I was in slightly better shape so I know I can do it again. Also I want to start going to the gym and would like to aim for a min. 3x a week. I have a really busy life (not an excuse but a reality) so this will be my hardest goal to meet.

I am so excited for the year to come, can't wait for my 2012 resolution to included maintaining my goal weight

    Happy New Years everyone!!
  • Happy New Year to All.
i am not too much of a resolution type person. but i do want to lose weight. i have always said that, though and not stuck with any plan. i do like the weight watchers plan. and have had some success with it. so i want to stay with that for the new year.
  • Happy New Year!
Here is to a great new year with lots of loss of weight for all of us!
  • Mine is to keep staying on plan! Last night was the first time I went out with friends since starting this. I didn't eat at home before leaving since I wasn't hungry and ended up getting diner at the bar. A little steak, some mashed potatoes and 2 beers over the course of the night.

The number of people who who absolutely sloshed (including the old couple next to me) was so alarming. I would not want to be them waking up today.

I'm going out for a nice long walk in the snowy woods today.
  • Mine is to keep going and to start working out more. I lost 18lbs in 2010 without really working out...so I can make it even better this year.
  • My resolution this year is to GET FIT! weightloss will naturally follow that course so my aim is to stick to my ww plan for weightloss but hit the exercise hard this year (not crazy 4 hr a day hard, lol.. but at least 20 min 5x's a week) I would love to be a comfy size 8 again and I know I can get there faster with exercise by toning up than just weightloss alone so that is my aim for this year.. move more, move more and of course.. eat less My goal is to run my first 5k this year and for that, I need to be physically fit, so here is to making that happen!!!
