Default Anyone sticking with the old plan?

I do WW at home and am very happy staying with the old plan. It works for me and, although I hear good things about PointsPlus, I don't want to re-learn all the point values of my favorite foods (plus, I have an iPod app that I use to calculate and track points and can't bear to part with it). Anyone else staying behind? Or did everyone move on to the new plan?

Nope, I thought about sticking with it, but it was mainly fear of failure that was holding me back. I went forward with my eyes open and mind clear and have been doing pretty darn good so far! Its not too bad to relearn the points, most have only gone up by one or two but you get more points per day now. And most vegs and fruits are zero points

I moved on. The new plan is much, much better and reflects much more current scientific knowledge about weight loss. It would be sort of like winning a brand new car in a contest (this is to make it equivalent in cost) but staying with a car that I loved and was state of the art when it came out but almost 20 years later isn't as safe as newer cars, doesn't have the fuel economy of newer cars and has less amenities than what are now standard and are on the new car.

Change is, well, change and it can be tough to embrace it. But I feel that I deserve to use the best possible program I can use and that the new program is better and more effective and I don't want to shortchange myself.

(There is an iphone app for the new program)

FWIW, 6 weeks or so after the new program came out I know the point values of my favorite foods which were the ones I had memorized before and I am very, very good at guestimating a food if I have an approximate calorie count.

I moved on. I thought, BRIEFLY, about sticking with the old plan but decided to just jump in with both feet and I LOVE it! It is WAY better and I love now that if I am REALLY craving to eat...be it for stress or whatever...I can grab a banana, pear, apple or whatever fruit and eat that but not sabotage myself. I used to forgo the banana because it was 2 points or more depending on the size. Instead I would go for a more baked chip or cracker snack that was the same points because it was the same points. Now I eat WAY more fruit and veggies and it's paying off!

Try it...give it 2 weeks...and if you STILL don't like it or it's too hard go back to the old plan knowing you gave it a shot!

*hugs*
Jennifer

Maybe I'll give it a shot. My cousin just started the new plan (she goes to meetings and get the books) so maybe I can grab the new info from her. Thanks everyone!

Nope! Love the free fruit and veggies! I did have to relearn some stuff, but all in all, I like the new plan way better!

I agree, I encourage everyone to at least give the new plan a try.. if it doesn't work for you then you can always go back to the old plan but most are hooked in a couple weeks and don't mind the new points and all that
