Default Zero point soup now one point??????

I am looking at WW online and it has the soup (called Vegetable Soup now) recipe, but it lists it as 1 point under the points plus program.

WHY?

It is still all vegetables! I thought vegetables were zero points, even on the new program.

I am confused!

Here are the ingredients:
2 clove(s) (medium) garlic clove(s), minced
1 medium onion(s), diced
2 medium carrot(s), diced
1 medium sweet red pepper(s), diced
1 stalk(s) (medium) celery, diced
2 small zucchini, diced
2 cup(s) green cabbage, shredded
2 cup(s) Swiss chard, chopped
2 cup(s) cauliflower, small florets
2 cup(s) broccoli, small florets
2 tsp thyme, fresh, fresh, chopped
6 cup(s) vegetable broth
2 Tbsp parsley, or chives, fresh, chopped
1/2 tsp table salt, or to taste
1/4 tsp black pepper, or to taste
2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice, optional

That soup is listed in the new program intro materials we got at the meetings. Still says 0 PointsPlus there... don't know what the disconnect is...

There is a new one in the new books.

lemon juice?

Ok, well, I do have the intro books downstairs, I will have to compare....I definitely want the ZERO point soup! This is what really helped me last time I did WW.

Thank you!

It's in WW PointsPlus "Getting Started" on the back side of the "Kickstart" guide (around page 86...) It's pretty similar.... Hope this helps!

This is something that has confused me as well and I plan to ask my leader about it at this week's meeting. The new Getting Started guide gives a recipe for Garden Vegetable Soup in the back, and lists it as 0 P+ per serving. When I go to find that recipe on etools to track it, there isn't a listing for that exact recipe name, and all the other WW soups that look similar are 1 P+.

Please come back and let us know! I would like to hear what your leader has to say about it.

Now, I highly doubt that eating this soup will in ANY way effect weight loss, but I am curious.

I saw that as well. On the website it says "0 point soup" but the point count is listed as 1.

Its all veggies...so why is there a point value?

It's no longer 0 points have they have changed the name to reflect that. It's now 1 point and all the variations are too. Vegetables in a recipe are not free. If you buy a can of progresso, you are counting the vegetables in the nutritional info.

Ok, so I am not completely confused!

When do we count vegetables and when do we not?

As I think I stated earlier, I don't think eating this soup will in any way make me stop losing, but I am concerned.

Ask yourself, are you eating it like you just picked it off the vine, or are you making something with a recipe?

That's not what I'm confused about. What I'm questioning is why they are promoting something in their own plan materials (the Getting Started guide) as a 0 point per serving food, but not on their online tracker. If it's 1 point, fine (I've been counting it as such) but why not say that in the guide?

Why would that matter?

So, if I eat them separately I can count them as 0 points but if I mix them and heat them up I count them?

Dawn

BTW: I never understood the 0 point Progresso soup thing either. If you eat half of it, it is 0 points, but if you eat the whole thing it is 2 points.

Our leader told us to keep it simple. Why add the veggies into the recipe builder if you know they're 0 points???
She said there are some glitches in the online system, and to get it accurate you can do it that way, as long as they aren't the starchy veggies (corn, potatoes, etc).
