Default Stressed/Binge

Hi Everyone

My day was pretty normal and I've been doing great tracking but I honestly feel like I want to go to my fridge and eat everything in sight! I'm not sure what happened to trigger this but the only thing I can think of is the dentist visit my kiddos and I had tonight. That alone was stressful, then my husband and I find out our oldest son needs a LOT of work and when I saw the estimate they gave me I about screamed! I think that alone may have triggered me to want to eat massive quantities of food. I really wanted to come on here and get it all out in hopes that someone, anyone will talk me out of this.

The food will not help and not make you feel better!

As a (recovering) emotional eater, one of my favorite quotes is 'Don't let your mind bully your body into believing it must carry the burden of its worries.' (Astrid Aluda)

You know that giving in will only make you feel guilty and make more work for you in the long run. It's not worth it! If you have to have something to eat to fill that need, at least go for low-calorie and preferably nutritious food. If you can avoid it, even better and even if you have to white-knuckle it tonight, you will feel better about yourself tomorrow if you stay strong.

You can do it, I have faith in you!

*HUGE hugs!* you are doing so well. you are such an inspiration. it's never easy to dodge those triggers. try and remember that everything usually has a way of working itself out. i can't count how many times in the last year alone that i have reacted badly (soo unbelievably stressed out!), but then everything kind of aligns itself. eating those foods won't help anything. you can wake up tomorrow happy with yourself that you made it through such a bad day/night by making healthy choices or you can wake up feeling bloated and angry at yourself. you will be able to handle whatever life throws at you if you are armed with self confidence. trust me.
