Question Did anybody get the deluxe kit?

I'm curious to see how many of you get the deluxe kit at the meeting this week. After reading online that the deluxe kit will be 35.00 now but go up after the first of the year to 45.00, I wanted to make sure I get one. So, I called Nashville headquarters and ask if the deluxe kits were going to be for sale at the meeting locations. The lady said and I quote: " Ma'am we won't have any of the deluxe kits until February". I said: "Really?? I see where people on line are buying them at their meetings." She said: "Honey, I don't know what the other franchises are doing. But, I do know that the East & Middle TN franchises won't have any until February."

That really surprises me. I'm not saying she doesn't know what she is talking about, but wouldn't it be more lucrative for them if they at least offer this for the January Resolution crowd who are willing to spend money at that time? I usually get over things fairly quickly. And if I wait until February to get one, I'll be over it by then. LOL!

So, I would like to hear from some other TN members to see if they are really not available at their meetings. Also, anybody from other states who see that they are not available either. I just didn't know that WW franchises were so different. Thanks.

That is really strange. I would contact someone at corporate WW to ask what the deal is. I'm in Georgia and we had plenty. Got mine and I'm set. I'm liking the change....it really makes sense.

That is very interesting....BUT it may be true. I live in Central Jersey and have the monthly pass. However, I cannot go 10 miles south into South Jersey, or 10 minutes into PA and use it. They are a FRANCHISED WW and everything there is different They also charge higher prices and they don't have a monthly pass. They have something different, that costs 10 per month more and DOES NOT include eTools.

I don't think it's fair for things to be different but maybe that is the way it is licensed with the franchises.

Not to be nosey but, how much do you pay per month?? Do you have a monthly pass option with etools??

Thanks guys for letting me know about your areas. I won't be going to a meeting until either tomorrow or Thursday. But, I plan to talk to them to double check while I am there.

BuxomPrincess-- We don't have the Monthly Pass option here. Our membership doesn't include etools. To join it costs $30 and that includes registration and first week fee and plan materials. Each week thereafter is $12/week. You get a new handout each week for 10 weeks. Sometimes they run a special where we can prepay for 9 weeks for $99 and we get a sheet of "coupons" that we use like money every week.

I live about 30 minutes from the Kentucky border and I noticed that they are different from our franchises. They do have the monthly pass option. And their pricing is a little different from ours. If it's true that the TN WW don't have deluxe kits, I'm thinking I may drive over the border and see if I can buy one up there.

If you go to weightwatchers.com and click on find a meeting, pick the city and state option you can see the different states pricing and if they have the monthly pass options.

KimberlyP-- I checked out ebay the lowest one I could find was $30 but the reserve hadn't been met. I seen where some were up to $79!! I'm not THAT dedicated. If I'm not able to find it in KY for the $35, then I guess I'll go ahead and get over it.

I didn't realize not everyone in the US had the monthly pass option! Wow. fit40, I might drive the 30 min to Kentucky and join there if you could.

I go to my meeting this morning and get the new program today. Will try to remember to post back here if there are "deluxe kits" available. I wonder what it entailed in the kit? Perhaps I'll buy one.
I so look forward to it. There was no local meeting at my center yesterday and this morning is the first available meeting since Thanksgiving that will have the new program. I'm so there!

Question: For those of you who got deluxe kits, did the actual calculator come in the kit? When I opened mine it has a "coupon" for a free calculator. So, it was a good thing I purchased one earlier today. I'll have to redeem it later.

Sounds like the Kentucky location is much better!

No, the calculator isn't in the deluxe kit. It is a coupon to get the calculator which they gave me right there.

There was a coupon for a new scale for $5 off. Coincidentally my old scale (which I was going to keep even though it wouldn't do the new points just died) so I sent my DH by to use the coupon to get the scale. He was told that he could either buy the scale on sale for $29 or he could use the coupon and get it for $35 ...he couldn't apply the coupon to the sale price. Sigh.
