Hello.....I am a current WW member and our leader actually brought us out the new book for a 'sneak peak'. It is called PointsPlus. How is the for a tongue twister!!??

I will be attending lots of meetings to learn all I can about new program. :)

zanheltangia 11-26-2010 01:25 PM

PointsPlus. :dz: Yeah, someone wasn't very creative with the new name.
It sounds like a motion sensing video game accessory.

I think the point they are trying to make with the new name is WW is not just about counting points. It's actually behavior modification, exercise, and eating wisely.

Why didn't they start it today? Well why would they start at the end of a current week. WW runs Sunday through Saturday. You bring it out at the beginning of the participant's week, not change in mid week. People are traveling during this week, and there is just too much going on. They have always rolled changes out the first week in December almost as a reward to us who keep on coming and don't give up until after the holidays.

something I've been debating on/ curious about issss do we HAVE to weigh in on the 29th at launch? because I usually weigh in on wednesdays

TexNurse 11-27-2010 11:27 AM

Last night I was looking at the UK article about the new program and it had two pictures of before and after of two different clients and then I noticed something very odd. In both AFTER pictures they were each wearing the same exact dress and shoes!!! Doesn't that strike you as odd??

QuilterInVA 11-27-2010 12:01 PM

Actually, if you go back and look at those pictures again, there are minor differences in the dresses.

You weigh in on your regular day. The centers would never be able to accomodate everyone weighing in on the same day!

I don't think we have to weigh in, my day is usually Friday but I'm going Monday just to get the new material and learn about the plan. I don't plan on weighing in but if they want me to I will, not a big deal.

Koshka 11-27-2010 12:24 PM

You can go to a meeting and skip weighing in. Normally my DH and I go to a Saturday meeting but he is driving my mom home from visiting us for the holidy so he couldn't go today. They actually have a Sunday morning meeting and I plan to go to that meeting in the morning to get the new materials. I could skip weighing in tomorrow morning and then go to my regular meeting on Saturday and still weight in. Or I could weigh in tomorrow, go to my regular meeting on Saturday and not weigh in and then weigh in the following Saturday. Haven't decided yet which I will do.

I am so ready for the new plan to start!! :carrot:

Yeah I dont think I plan on weighing in either but I know I'm still going to have to pay for the meeting though which sucks. If they want me to way in, I will also.

BuxomPrincess 11-27-2010 02:12 PM

My normal meeting day is Wednesday but I'm Sooooo darn excited about the new plan that I'm going to a meeting tomorrow for the launch. I was told that if I attend the Sunday meeting I HAVE to weigh in. Once you get the new program info, you CANNOT do Momentum. So I'll weigh in tomorrow, skip my Wed weigh in and then start weighing in the following Wed again.

Personally, I'm over the moon about the new plan. Leaders have LOST weight doing it. I need something new to motivate me.

Good luck everybody!!! :)

Yes, I am so looking forward to it.

I'm a relapsed life member and got to life using the old exchanges program. Then, post-pregnancy I kept trying to get back to goal. I got within 10 pounds a couple of times but always relapsed. Truthfully, I always felt that Points program didn't really encourage healthy eating. You could fairly easily eat most of your points on junk food. You can still do that on the new program if what I read is true but it will be more difficult since you will be spending more points for many of those foods.

I think that is one of the issues people always had with WW. However, I saw my points as "Money" and would only spend it on what I thought was worth it. YET, being a Reese's Addict, I knew that I could still have them if I wanted them...just had to pay the price. Now I'm really looking forward to the "Free" fruits and veggies. I really do believe this is their way of 'guiding' us into really eating better. I know I need the gentle push!!
