I'm actually really excited for the new plan! The suspense is killing me! haha
|
I'm super anxious. Even the leaders say its fabulous and it works great.
|
*pout*
Why couldn't they launch this on a Saturday ;). Happy Friday all, and have a fantastic weekend! |
So, at least two people know Legal Seafood, so I am not alone! I know I can get broiled or grilled fish and a healthy salad at least. It will be hard getting the new program (wish I could have it today!) and then heading right from that meeting for a lunch but we have to live our program and what better way to try it out than finding out how in a restaurant?
I eat out very frequently and have survived it. I'm probably dining out at least 3 times a week, maybe more if we are busy. I've learned what works at certain restaurants. I call one of my survival tips "ordering plain" as it's the unknown sauces and added oils/butters that can make or break you. I feel pretty positive that fruits are going to be zero points now, from what I hear. I also here that carbs are going to be much higher, those 100 calorie packs we all enjoy for their portability and portion control might go from 2 points to 4 points, how willing will we all be to have those if they go that high? I hear we might get less points per day but more flex points? It's all rumor until we get the plan. If anyone hits a meeting before the rest of us do, please share a few things as best you can. Also, Kimberly, I'd have done the same. One quick peek and you would have felt guilty. Boy, I wish I had a leader that offered me coffee! By the way, I'll bet our meetings are unbelievably crowded this week. The word about the new program is out there and people will be dying to get hold of it, I think. I do want to say that there are those who show up at WW, pay for one meeting and buy the program and we never see them again. There are those who, like me, need that weekly weigh in and the other aspects of a meeting to keep my motivation going. Those "stop in" people will be there, for sure. But, also, right after New Year's. |
new plan
I am from Kingston Ontario Canada Our new program starts in a week. They told us to by the new calculator This week coming at $10. And to come to the meeting early on the 7 because there is a lot of info to take in.
There is also a new book like you get when you join but they did not say whether we will get that free. And rumor had it 0 point fruits. I am loving that idea. I agree I have been on several plans with ww and found them all easy to follow and they are always successful. |
Derry, I am one of those who come long enough to get all the materials I need/want and then leave to do it on my own whenever I feel like cutting off the monthly pass. :D
Sometimes the meetings are great, but sometimes they are too infected with "Debbie Downer"s, if you know what I mean ;). I think I'll be showing up to an Afternoon meeting on Monday here in the States. I could use something new as the past two months have been Blah and I've been slipping back into bad habits, so unless someone beats me to it, I'll post a bit of what I hear. |
Excited
I am looking forward to the new program. I wish they would have started it today.

Hello.....I am a current WW member and our leader actually brought us out the new book for a 'sneak peak'. It is called PointsPlus. How is the for a tongue twister!!??
I will be attending lots of meetings to learn all I can about new program. :) |
PointsPlus. :dz: Yeah, someone wasn't very creative with the new name.
It sounds like a motion sensing video game accessory. |
I think the point they are trying to make with the new name is WW is not just about counting points. It's actually behavior modification, exercise, and eating wisely.
Why didn't they start it today? Well why would they start at the end of a current week. WW runs Sunday through Saturday. You bring it out at the beginning of the participant's week, not change in mid week. People are traveling during this week, and there is just too much going on. They have always rolled changes out the first week in December almost as a reward to us who keep on coming and don't give up until after the holidays. |
something I've been debating on/ curious about issss do we HAVE to weigh in on the 29th at launch? because I usually weigh in on wednesdays
|
Last night I was looking at the UK article about the new program and it had two pictures of before and after of two different clients and then I noticed something very odd. In both AFTER pictures they were each wearing the same exact dress and shoes!!! Doesn't that strike you as odd??
|
Actually, if you go back and look at those pictures again, there are minor differences in the dresses.
You weigh in on your regular day. The centers would never be able to accomodate everyone weighing in on the same day! |

You can go to a meeting and skip weighing in. Normally my DH and I go to a Saturday meeting but he is driving my mom home from visiting us for the holidy so he couldn't go today. They actually have a Sunday morning meeting and I plan to go to that meeting in the morning to get the new materials. I could skip weighing in tomorrow morning and then go to my regular meeting on Saturday and still weight in. Or I could weigh in tomorrow, go to my regular meeting on Saturday and not weigh in and then weigh in the following Saturday. Haven't decided yet which I will do.
|
I am so ready for the new plan to start!! :carrot:

My normal meeting day is Wednesday but I'm Sooooo darn excited about the new plan that I'm going to a meeting tomorrow for the launch. I was told that if I attend the Sunday meeting I HAVE to weigh in. Once you get the new program info, you CANNOT do Momentum. So I'll weigh in tomorrow, skip my Wed weigh in and then start weighing in the following Wed again.
Personally, I'm over the moon about the new plan. Leaders have LOST weight doing it. I need something new to motivate me. Good luck everybody!!! :) |
Yes, I am so looking forward to it.
I'm a relapsed life member and got to life using the old exchanges program. Then, post-pregnancy I kept trying to get back to goal. I got within 10 pounds a couple of times but always relapsed. Truthfully, I always felt that Points program didn't really encourage healthy eating. You could fairly easily eat most of your points on junk food. You can still do that on the new program if what I read is true but it will be more difficult since you will be spending more points for many of those foods. |

I'm really excited. I am re-joining WW on Monday. this will be my 7 or 8th time but, each time I am hoping it will stick. I waiting till this week to join to get a fresh start on the new program. :)
|
The new program will roll out here Tuesday evening.
I'm one of those lapsed lifetimers, but I'm going back. I'm no good on my own.:D Anyway, I'm really pumped about the new program and excited for Tuesday night.:carrot: |
I believe the new WW propoint plan doesn't come out till the first week in December here in Canada. I look forward to starting a new year with the new plan.
|
Well I had planned on just weighing in tomorrow since my tracker ends onday 7 tomorrow anyhow. My meeting isn't until 6:30 pm and I usually go on an empty stomachs so my weight in accurate but then again my weigh ins are usually at 9:45am on Wednesdays too so not as difficult lol I dunno.
|
And then again I don't want to use the new program for 2 days and potentially screw up my weight either.
|
I'm waiting until my normal meeting on Wednesda to weigh in and get the "official" materials. I didn't want to do half the week on the old plan and then the other half on the new one.

Hi,I know that with the monthly pass you have unlimited meetings, but what about the 13 dollar a week plan?would i still be able to go to unlimited meetings for that week? thanks....
|
Yes that was my experience when I was paying weekly.
|
If you pay weekly you can go to as many meetings as you would like. However, you can only weigh in once per week... Essentially, when you weigh you pay.
|
My meeting is at 9:30 am today. I plan to start a new tracker and really take this baby on! There is no time like the present. I am a lifetime member who has let it all slide time and time again. I've not been at goal weight for years. I hope this is my time and that I can do this.
I know even the WW web facebook site had a video about fruits being free now. I went grocery shopping yesterday and bought extra fruit with joy. Imagine being able to have a whole banana and not count two points? One tip I'll offer is to cut up an apple and microwave it with Splenda and cinnamon on it, and it tastes like apple pie. You can enjoy it like a dessert. : ) Also, I wonder if dried fruits will be free too? That would be so awesome. I have a dehydrator and love dehydrated apples in particular. |
Hi everyone.....
I've always liked WW with one exception....I was always starving!! 20 points just didn't seem to be enough. This new plan has sparked some interest for me. Are we still gonna be using the same slider? And I'm wondering if the total points for the day will be less. Cin |

I am going to try your apple idea....sounds scrumptious. Good luck, have a great day and keep us posted!! |
I've been doing that apple thing for a very long time. I'll bet the concept would work well with other fruit as well?
Looking forward to making the effort. I hope the upcoming Christmas season doesn't sabotage this. But, that is a few weeks away and I can make some headway between now and then. I only have one party so far, and of course it is tomorrow. But, there will be salad and fruit salad there, as it is pot luck. One of our group is a vegetarian and someone is making vegetarian vegetable soup. So, I know three things I can fill up on. : ) |
I am excited about the new plan! As gung-ho as I was a month ago to lose weight, it quickly diminished when we all got the stomach flu, and then I got a sinus infection. Now that I'm healthy again, I am ready to get the ball rolling!
