Default What is the best way to join WW?

Hi-

I am going to attend a free WW meeting to see what I think. If I decide to join are there any special packages I should sign up for or avoid? I am also contacting my company and health insurance to see if either of them offer discounts. Thanks!

The monthly pass is the way to go if it is offered in your area (some franchises don't). It's $40 a month and includes free e-tools.

I do the monthly pass also and it's so stress free. It comes directly out of my checking account monthly. And etools is the way to go. I use it all the time for everything from tracking points to looking up recipes to reading the articles. It's fantastic.

I like the monthly pass, too. I don't have to worry about it, and I am just discovering all of the goodies that are on the WW site with eTools. Good luck!

Monthly pass for me. Free e-tools and it comes automatically out each month. The meetings are great but I wouldn't necessarily be discouraged if you don't like the meeting you go to. For me, I went to a GREAT leader the first week and then tried another the next week who I didn't really care for. I hope it works for you.

Double check me on this because this was from a year or two ago. But If you have a flexible savings plan through work, and you have a medical reason to lose weight (i.e., obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure), then the WW membership can be paid for through the FSA. This ultimately means about a 25% discount because you won't be paying federal income tax through those dollars.

But you have to already have an FSA; you can only sign up during open enrollment; and if you don't use the money each year, you lose it.
