Default HELP!! SOOO Hungry today!! :(

i am so hungry today its making me mad lol. i have been OP since thurs, preparing myself to actually go to the meeting this sat. i think my TOM is right around the corner and its killing me.

so..what do you all do to get you thru those days you cant seem to stay satisfied??

part of the problem might be i didnt eat my yogurt at breakfast as i have the last 6 days..i also didnt have my soup at lunch as i have been. i think those were two mistakes i made since im usually pretty "full"after my lunch.

tia for any tips i love this forum!! so many good ideas!! im eating the popcorn with splenda, spray butter, and cinnamon right now. it seems to be keeping me from eating anything that isnt OP. i need will-power dust

If it's not real hunger, I try to find something else to do to take my mind off that feeling - whether that's read a book, go for a run/bike ride, watch a movie, go to bed, etc.

If I am actually hungry, I try to eat things that are nutritionally sound and filling but low in points - yogurt mixed with wheat germ or fiber one, almonds, oatmeal, etc.

thanks!! i tried a few different things..walked 3 miles with my kids, drank water, took a nap (lol) watched tv. . .blah blah. my stomach just kept growling. i guess its my period that is on its way, makes me ravenous..but, guess what?? im going to keep eating what ive been eating, stay OP and feel hungry. why?? because every other time, i would have given in and said "ohh well i got my period and i couldnt help it . ill re-start when its done" NOT THIS TIME!!!!!!!

im working tonight 3-11 as a CNA and it is hard work. it keeps my mind busy and i usually forget to eat (lol) so that will keep me occupied between lunch and dinner....wish me luck day 8 of being OP

If it is hunger, grab some 0 point veggies. Yeah, they may not be what you WANT but it will get rid of the grumbles and add some vitamins and nutrients in to help your body along.

I keep carrot sticks in my work and home fridge and usually stick them in my purse to eat in between when I have no access to a fridge. I may want something a bit more heavy on the points during TOM but I stick carrot sticks or something more point friendly in my mouth instead.

If you are actually hungry, it's a good idea to eat something than to wait it out and splurg either on purpose or accident.

Congrats on keeping busy and staying OP, woohoo!

Thanks!! carrot sticks are a bad idea for me bc i associate them with ranch dressing i made it thru the day and i doing okay today. im getting through this munching on what i can to get by.

im going to weigh myself at work today (thats where i weighed myself last thurs) and see how that goes. my starting weight was 294 last thurs and it was 291 on monday. if i am the same as what i was monday, i will be thrilled!!! hopefully next week i will have a decent week as well..i usually get a "whoosh" of atleast a water loss after TOM starts. ill let you know how my "weigh-in" goes

Whey protein shakes help me. I get the chocolate flavored ones so it seems like a treat Adding a banana makes it even more palatable. The protein takes awhile to break down, so it keeps you full for a few hours.
