Question Unknown Points?

Can someone please help me?Sometimes I'll eat things that I can't find points values for, and they're not online or in the books. And usually it's something that's made at home, so I don't know the calories or anything to use the points converter on the website. How am I supposed to know the points for things if they don't tell me?Please help!

you have to roughly estimate what the points may be. Either that or do whatever you can to make sure you always have the nutritional information available to you so you can calculate the points. In general, I won't even buy anything anymore that I can't calculate because I don't have the best guessing techniques.

If you gave some examples maybe someone could help? I could try but we have a little bit different program here in NL than yours in the US.

If it's a recipe, you add up the calories, fat and fiber for each ingredient, figure the points from that then divide by the number of servings. If you don't know, try to figure it out and then add 1 point to that number to get a ballpark figure.

You really need to be able to compute the points accurately for 99% of the foods you eat if you want to be successful.

Default Guesstimate

I've run into situations like that, usually it's my mother's cooking. I will guesstimate by going online to find something similiar and asking how it was made, ie. with butter or olive oil. I try to keep these meals to the very minimum because it's not an exact science. Part of WW is to teach portion control so I make sure I'm having a SERVING and not three or four. Hope that helps.
