Default newbie to WW

Hi everybody! I have been fighting with weight my whole life. I was NEVER the skinny, or even "normal" weight girl. I have always been heavy. In the last few years, thanks to several surgeries, change in jobs, and just plain ol' laziness, I've let myself get up to 330 pounds. I started December 27th of 2009 and have been trying to lose weight since. I was doing well the first 2 months, lost 30 inches total and 9 pounds, but so far March has been a total bust. I wasn't following any set "diet", i was just eating smaller portions and tried to incorporate more protien and fewer carbs. This seemed to work ok...except I started CRAVING pasta. I got to the point to where I was letting myself eat way too much. I haven't lost a pound since the start of March.
My grandma did WW for quite a while and lost a lot of weight. She swears by it and so I figured I'd give it a shot. I just started today. I am looking to meet some people to keep me motivated and also for some tips.
Nice to meet you all! have a great day!!

Hi Nikki, I hope you love WW as much as I do. Unfortunately this isn't my first time being on WW but hopefully my last. It really does work if you put your mind to it. The thing I would point out is it is not a diet but a way of life. You can eat anything but it just has to fit into your daily points. It is important to make sure that the points you do get are better choices other than just empty points. I will keep in touch to see how well you are doing. Are you doing it online or going to a weekly meeting?

unfortunately we don't have any meetings here in town where I live. I have the starter book and some recipes from my grandma, but I was checking out the ww website and thinking about joining online.

Hey Nikki! I am new also and would love to keep in touch with you to share our success! I have always been on the heavy side too! My lowest weight was 160 and I am trying to get back to that. The funny thing is I thought I was fat then, lol. Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi!

I just started WW today. I am jumping in and doing the Simply Filling Technique (the old WW Core plan). It is the closest technique to non-dieting, aside from South Beach diet. It was between WW and South Beach Diet, and WW has so much more variety, I chose WW.

I just can't weigh, measure and count up numbers all day anymore.

I am doing the same thing. I cant stand counting calories. I always fall off the wagon that way. Hopefully WW will help. I am not going to meetings. I just dont have time with work and 3 kids. I think I will get all the support I need from you guys on here!

Congrats on the progress you have made thus far! I just started back on WW and sometimes I wonder how and why I didn't stick to it the first time. I wish you much success!
