Default thinking of swapping to WW

Hi guys

i am currently calorie counting and its just not working for me,

i did WW about 7 years ago quite succesfully, however it seems there are lots of different ways to go about t now and lots of different plans to choose.

at the time i allowed myself 18 points a day but i had less to loose then.

any adivce on how to get started again? and what plan do you think works best?

much love

shaz

There aren't a lot of different plans to follow. If you did core/flex last time then there isn't much difference at all. They changed the name to Momentum. You can choose to count points as before or you can do filling foods. They don't introduce the filling foods option til several weeks into the plan.I think it would be pretty close to what core was.

Hi Shaz,
The program has been pretty much the same if you were counting points last time you followed Weight Watchers. I am not sure if many members are following the filling food option. I don't personally know of anyone who uses it other than if they go out to dinner or on vacation to simplify things. However, after a while it gets easier to estimate point value of all foods.

To get started, I would start counting points according to your weight and activity level. The quiz will help to figure out how many daily points you should use.

Learn point values, eat the basic milk and milk products, oils, lean protein and whole grains, multi-vitamin, liquids, and fruits/veges. To start out, I would not worry too much about what I eat, but to track everything that I eat. But, that's just me. . . When you become more familiar with the program, then fine-tune to make sure you are getting good nutrition each day.

Practice makes permanent.
I hope that it works out well for you.

Hey shaz, I was thinking about switching to WW from CC as well, my mom lost100 pounds on WW so Im thinking its pretty awesome, I just don't have any meetings around me (Im living in South Korea, my husband is in the Army) so I would have to do at home or online and both are pretty steep in pricing so im not sure what to do yet

I LOVE the on line option - its so great for meal planning ideas and for me I especially love the online tracker - you enter the food you want to have and plan your meals so you stick to your daily plan. I know so many people can do this in their heads or in their journals, but for me starting out and wanting to do it right, it just works. Also - I believe the weekly meeting topic is posted on the website each week with an article, so although you would be missing out on the face to face accountability (and the scale...) - you could do the online program and come here for your support! Good luck!

I also am thinking of switching from cc to ww in the past I have lost weight with WW. But my friend is doing cc and having good results but not so much for me. I like the points program and it worked for me.

I have gone from counting calories to WW and I'm finally seeing success! I recommend you give it a try.
