I am looking to start losing weight...tell me about weight watchers...tell me about the points system etc. What do you like about it what do you not like about it?
I just posted a quick description of the points system in the thread "Starting again Thursday," but it sounds like you want more than that.
I can't post links yet because I'm new here. Do a Google search for "WebMD Weight Watchers review" and read that.
If you do a Google search on just "weight watchers review" you'll also discover reviews of WW that put it down for selling something that is free. The WW Momentum plan is basically calorie counting, and anyone can do that by reading labels and looking up calories in a book or on a website. But there's something about the points system that is really appealing, and just seems easier.
I love it. It worked for me 8 years ago when I lost 60 lbs., and when some of that found me again, it has worked for me this time around to lose 36 and counting. There are pluses and minuses to every program... you just have to try and see if this one is right for you.
I love WW and it has worked well for me. It's not just that counting points is easy, I love the meeting and I've made friends there. I get motivations and help from my leader and the materials that are covered each week are so helpful. You can attend 1 WW meeting for free. You will not receive any materials or be allowed to stay for the introduction to the plan for new members but you can get an idea if it is for you.
