Just a thought...
I actually wear a sterling silver belcher bracelet (the ones with the big padlock) every day and I'm going to buy a nice charm and have a lobster claw put on that - thanks so much for the idea!

Glad that I could help out!:)

i made my points bracelet, and i have some extra beading supplies, so if anyone wants me to make them one, email me. maybe we could do a swap or something.
[email protected] i made mine with a non-fraying elastic cord thing and the 5 point segments are each different shades of blue/black and white/clear. i like the more eclectic look. my little charm hopper thing is a butterfly bead that i modified to work with the bracelet. i think i'm going to make a key chain one for my sister. she'll love it. andrea |
What a great idea!! Whoever thought of this one will be making lots of money!!
Did everyone get their bead supplies at a craft store? Also, what do you use for the string? Thanks |
I get my sterling silver beads and charms at a bead shop in town who sells beads wholesale to the public. The crystals were purchased as a bead show in town in the spring, and I use heavy gauge stretch cord.

Confused re ww bracelet
ok, explain this to me like i am a 2 year old!
what do the different beads signify as far as point value and/or points used? how do you keep track of points, by moving the charm over? does this affect the bracelet size? ugh, can you tell that i am in the midst of a brain cramp?!? thanks! :) |
basically, for my bracelet, i put on 27 beads. i did this because it's the points range i should really stay in, and 30 beads made a bracelet that was way too big.
the smaller the beads, the more points you can put on it. i think thirty was the standard just so it would cover everyone. the little charm that clips onto the bracelet is moved bead by bead to correspond to the amt of points you eat. ie, you eat a candy bar, you move the charm 7 beads over to signify the 7 points. when you get to your ending color bead, you are out of points for the day. the different color fifth bead is just there to make it easier to count when you eat a 15 point item. it's not too big of a deal. |
Received my points bracelet today... It's beautiful! The silver beads are the best! I'm wearing it with pride, and getting lots of comments from my WW buddies here at work.
Thank you |
I'm really glad...
that you like your bracelet. I know mine has made a big difference in how I keep track of my points. I am glad that I was able to help.

Hi ladies -
I too have been making bracelets and selling them for $10 plus 2.50 postage. If you tell me the 2 colors you want and the type of "charm" and how many points you need I would love to make them for you. I had posted on Ebay for quite some time and I know that the price of most of these is more money than I ask. I use a toggle for the clasp, wire for the "string" and I usually use faux pearls for the separator beads. I haven't tried any anklets yet but thats a great idea. If you are interested email me - I love mine and have made some with hummingbirds for friends. I think of it as just another cool tool to use to keep me honest! |
Great idea - Michaels here I come!
