Points Bracelets!!!
A few weeks ago, I read on the WW site, that someone bid and received a "Points Bracelet" that was similar to the one that WW is selling in test market areas. I went to ebay, saw the bracelet, and made my own! I have found that it really does make keeping track of the points that I have eaten for the day a lot easier, and I don't need to stop and use a calculator, or journal.
I have 24 silver beads, 6 crystals, and two bubble heart beads (one bigger than the other), and a silver open-heart charm on a lobster claw. I start at the smaller heart to show that I am going from less points to more, and I move the charm to show the number of points I use during the day. I love wearing it!!! It is so pretty, and like I said, no knows that it is anything more than a pretty bracelet! Crafters, check out the ebay site to see what it looks like. Usually there are several clones out there, but at least one original. (The original sells for around $35.00.) The ones on ebay go for around 20.00. Not a crafter? After seeing the ones on ebay, if you are interested, I would be happy to email you a pic of mine, and I could add up the cost, and make one for you. My email addy is: [email protected]. Check it out! |
I have also made some for myself. Since it is Summer I made anklets also. The craft stores sell some really nice glass beads.

Points Bracelet
Hi tchr!
I did a quick check on ebay for the points bracelet and I didn't find it. I'm not very ebay savy, so I'll try again. It sounds like a very clever idea. Thanks for sharing it. I'm just curious about the concept. Why the 24 silver and 6 crystal beads? What is your point range? Thanks.... |
Points bracelet
Hi tchr,
I had better luck pulling it up on ebay this time. It answered my questions for me. Thanks again! |
I would like a bracelet. If anyone is making them. Send me a PM I would love to purchase one.
Thanks! |
Just wanted to say I think this is an awsome idea. :) I will have to try to make one sometime. My only problem is that I can't wear jewelry at work. :( I work in a food factory) But if I didn't I would wear one all the time. It's very innovative. ....Sis

Thanks for the suggestion.:) |
You should not post your address on the board. That could be very dangerous!

Your Bracelet is very nice...
I too had seen them on ebay sometime back. My question is "How do you move the charm around?" Is it easily removed or does it slip over the othe beads?? Great idea!! You did a great job and from what I saw on ebay your price is good....
Keep up the good work! emmy |
Thanks, Emmy. The charm is a removable lobster claw clasp. It opens easily and I just move the charm over. I really find it keeps me motivated to keep track of my points, especially when I am out. I am a teacher, and I think this will be easier for me to use than my palm pilot, because It's right there, and takes less than 10 seconds to use. I didn't always have time to take out my pilot to journal last year. And the kids always look to see what I'm wearing!;)
