I like paper in one way, because I can quickly jot down what I eat, when I eat it - don't have to be at the computer.
But, etools gives me 30 points per day and when I figure them myself, I only come up with 29. So that extra point is kinda nice. Also etools does half points for some items, which is also nice.
But what I don't like about etools is that if I go over my daily points, it pulls from my WPA before the activity points. I like to do it the other way when I track on paper - if I want dessert, I can have it, if I earned enough points that day working out!
I like paper myself, I have alittle book called "The Ultimate Pocket Journal, it fits in my purse with a pull out graph paper, and I have my colored pens, and it has 6 months of daily logs for writing down B-L-D and calories, and totoals for the day.
I use to use a online site but would get frustrated when the pages loaded slow, and my husband would be online and I was not able to get on that day, and I couldn't go back a day and log and it would count against me, the internet would be down etc.
now I just look up the Calories in my paper back book. etc, I find it is just quicker and easier for me. Plus I like coloring my graph....lol
I'm a paper person, too. Filling out the next day's food plan keeps my hands busy every evening. I just use school paper in a 3-ring binder, and keep all my charts, food points lists, weigh-in record, and WW info in there, too.
I have the monthly pass and so the e-tools are included, but so far I've mainly stuck to the free paper trackers you get at the meetings and my little guidebook. I can take those wherever and write it as soon as I bite it!
I made a great excel workbook with all kinds of things in it to use as a journal and weight tracker.....and it is great..........but I have found that the paper actually works better for me for the journaling part b/c I can have that with me all the time. I guess you just have to find what works best with your lifestyle.
I was using my Blackberry but we don't cell service where I live so I can only track online in town. I think I am more cognizant of my points when I write them down manually though. When I tracked online I didn't know how much my waffles, margarine, dressing, etc were because I just dragged and dropped from my favs. Now, because I look it all up, I know exactly how many points are in 3 tbs of my ranch dressing and how many tbsp of marg I get for 2 points. It has made me wayyy more accountable.
Another paper person. I also do the monthly pass and have access to the e-tools, and it's nice to look up stuff on there. But it really is so much more convenient for me to carry the 3 Month Journal around with me. Maybe when I get a new phone and upgrade to something with better web access than I have now I'll change, but paper works just fine for me.
Another paper girl here. I find the little trackers that they give you at the meetings so handy and easy to take along wherever I go. Jotting everything down makes me feel organized and in control.
