Default THin4Life - Week of 2/9/09

Good morning!

Gosh, what a weekend! We opened the Sound of Music and it was sold out! The audience loved it. I'm so proud of this production. I did SOM 10 years ago and it wasn't nearly as well done. My sister came over for a short visit and to see the show. She really liked it. I finally worked in the yard yesterday. One good thing, after three weeks, the weeds were really big and easier to pull out.

Ladies, I really need some encouragement. I've lost focus with my eating. I knew that my clothes were not fitting right and I finally got the courage to step on the dreaded scale--well I'm over my goal weight. I am so upset with myself. I've been eating sweets; it's as if I can't stop. Help!!!

Melissa, Are your computers fixed at work? That's awful. It happened here recently and that is no fun to have a virus. You're lucky to be going on vacation--you'll like San Diego.

How is everyone else?

Lori, Oh, being sick and traveling are just horrible together. Healthy thoughts, healthy thoughts. I'm glad you're back on track with eating. Where am I getting the sweets? At our play--people are bringing in snacks for the cast and there is a woman in the cast who is an excellent baker. She makes all of these homemade cookies that are tremendous and I have to try them all!! : (

Our computers are still down at work; they worked over the weekend and today the IT Department was in our building--they have to wipe out our computers and then reinstall everything so it's a slow process. I'm sure they're pretty wiped out and there are enough people breathing down their backs to get their computers up and running. As it is we're not able to do our four week grade distribution which in some ways is a relief for me. We were already backed up because of the virus and now that they're not able to get things back as quickly we wouldn't have been able to get the grades until the end of the week. They're not sure what all we'll be able to do so work has been pretty boring. I actually read this afternoon because I'm caught up with what I need to do.

The weather here is strange--today we were in the high 40's and tomorrow it's supposed to be in the mid 50's and Wednesday we're supposed to see the 60's and possibly some rain. I just hope the weather holds up so we can get out of town on Thursday.

Lisa: Congratulations on the success of your show! Once you cut back on the sweets you won't miss them--it's the same way for me, if I don't have the salty/crunchy stuff around I don't crave it or look for it. Hang in there!

I'll check in again...Hi to Pam & Run4Change! Hope you're both doing well!

Here I am. Doing good. Just finished my 12th marathon last Sunday and set a personal record. I am not too sore right now either which is a huge plus. Sorry Domina for your hard times. You will cycle back around to counting and controlling a little better. Keep your head up.

I have a weigh in tonight and I am nervous a little. I have gained around 6 lbs in the last month and I want to lose sooooo bad. I have 100% for sure done good this week. I know for a fact with no doubt what I ate and how many points it all was. I have eaten all daily's and my 35 extras. Did not eat any AP's this week at all to get a base line on what I am doing. I got 45 AP's this week so a loss seems to be in order.

HAve a great day ya'll

Run4Change: Congratulations on the marathon!! I sure hope your hard work and tracking will give you good results at the scale today. Our weather has been really mild and I'm itching to get outside for a walk!

I talked with the doctor's office this morning and my thyroid sonogram is good--no cysts!

Our computers are up although we don't have everything up and running, just the bare essentials at this point. It's been a mess to say the least!

run4change, which marathon did you do? My DH did a 1/2 marathon near us in Melbourne, Florida. He wanted a time under 2 hours, but had 2:05 (like that's a big deal). Congrats to you and I'm sure you'll have a great WI.

Melissa, So glad about your test results. That is really bad regarding the computer virus. I always say if those people who make viruses would put their minds to good use, think what they could do!

I'm on my second OP day, but I don't feel any thinner. : (

Hi Everyone,

I'm just enjoying the balmy weather here it's been close to 40 all week and tomorrow we may see 50 degrees. All the snow is melting and I'm hoping we won't get anymore but I'm pretty sure we will . Work has been busy. I'm finally going to be fulled moved to my new office on Friday so that should cut down on the time wasted running back and forth between the two. Other than that same old same old here. This time of year is kind of blah, sick of winter but spring is still over a month away.

Melissa sorry about your computer situation. It makes you realize how dependent you are on them when you have to go without using them for a few days. I'm so glad the sonogram didn't detect any cysts. If I don't talk to you again I hope you have a great time in San Diego.

Lisa congratulations on the great turnout for Sound of Music. That is one of my favorites! Sorry about the gain just try and stay away from the sweets. I'm going to have the same temptations in my new office. One of the ladies there loves to bake and is always bringing goodies in. Stick with it you'll be feeling thinner soon.

Hi Run! Congrats on your personal record that's terrific! Good luck with your weigh in tonight.

Lori I hope your enjoying your time in West Palm Beach and I hope you're feeling better.

Well I have a weigh in tomorrow and I'm hoping to see a small loss. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Talk to you tomorrow!

Pam: I bet you'll be really glad to be in just one office! That would be hard going between the two. The weather is unseasonably warm here too--today we're supposed to hit the mid 60's and they're calling for t'storms and high winds later today. I just hope I don't have trouble getting out of here tomorrow morning! Hope the WI goes well today!

My sinuses are going crazy with the temp changes--I had a headache pretty much of the day yesterday and I'm all stuffed up....grrrr. The cough is still hanging around and last night I took the cough syrup with codeine and that helped a little (although I had weird dreams).

Today should go fairly fast--I have a few things that have to be done before I leave. I'm looking forward to getting away.

It was just a tiny little marathon called the Valentines Marathon.

I also lost 1 pound last night and i have never lost at the WI directly after a marthon. HAHAHA I almost got kicked out of my WW meeting because the leader saw that I was 25 lbs under my doctors goal. I talked her out of it though.

run4change, The marathon my husband ran had 1100 runners! It was pretty big for this area. There were many out of towners as there were cash prizes. Congrats on the loss. Is your doctor's goal different from the WW goal?

Melissa, I hope you have a very good trip and that your sinuses clear up.

I'm not doing so well today. I have a scratchy throat. I'm taking all kinds of things to make it go away. I have two performances this weekend and I'm so bummed.

Run4Change: You may want to get an updated note for your goal from the doctor. If another leader comes in they could tell you that they won't weigh you. I'm making the assumption that you're within the weight range for your height. I work as a receptionist and we had a member who went BELOW the minimum weight range and we had to terminate her. Congratulations on your loss after the marathon!!

Lisa: It's warm here and raining, the temps are supposed to drop into the 30's and snow tomorrow. I have to pack tonight and pull everything together (I do much better under pressure, lol).

I was down another pound today at my meeting...

Doctors Goal- 210
WW high limit goal- 196
WW low limit goal- 160 or so
My weight 187.2

I just told them I would throw away the Doctors goal. I don't want to go over 196 for sure. But I do like the cushion. HAHAHA I think they just figured that they would use the WW 196 goal now.

Run4Change: You still have a nice cushion using the top of the WW range. A lot of members have a doctor's goal and then they're actually able to get down within the WW range and maintain it. You've done great!! I like having a little cushion.

Well, I'm working on packing for our trip--I have a bunch of stuff out and I know I need to weed out some of the clothes, I don't need a whole lot because I actually only have 4 days in San Diego and 2 travel days. I'm not taking my laptop so I don't know that I'll be near a computer to check in. I'll be back late Tuesday night so I'll check in on Wednesday. Have a great week/weekend!
