Default Texture of WW ice cream-Help.

Hello everyone

I bought a couple of WW ice creams recently and tonight I finally go a chance to try one out.I had the Turtle sundae cup.The texture was kind of icy and kinda like Italian ice...that's the best way that I can describe it.I was wondering if this is the normal texture of WW ice cream products in the cups or if I just got a bad batch...I mean there was no "creamy" taste to the ice cream only icy if that makes any sense.

Are any of the other WW ice creams/desserts any good?

I think the WW ice cream cups are icy too. Skinny Cow is much better.. mmmm. The WW bars don't seem icy.

If you have a Safeway grocery store near by look out for their store brand ice cream. I found FAT FREE- no sugar added Vanilla Fudge swirl. 1/2 cup= 90 cal 0g fat. Its just as creamy as regular ice cream. woo!

I had a WW ice cream cup last night and as you say I found it had a 'gritty' texture rather than a smooth creamy one. I wont be buying it again.

Sounds like the grocery store put it in too cold of a freezer. I used to work at an ice cream parlor, and we'd have to keep the frozen yogurt in a separate cooler because it needs slightly higher temps or it becomes like you described. I'm not sure what WW ice cream is made out of, but even low/fat free dairy can have the same problem. I'm guessing that with most grocery stores, its going to be a craps shoot to see if you get a good batch.

But I agree with the other women, skinny cow is soooo yummy! Klondike's slim-a-bear is also wonderful.

All of the WW ice cream I have tried has been great. I think the "icyness" might be an issue with the temperature of the freezer.

I like the SmartOne's Peanut Butter Cup Sundaes. They're just 3 points -- but have chocolate syrup and cookie crumbles, as well as vanilla ice cream and mini PB cups. They're my favorite treat at the end of the day.

i don't think so. it might be the store. when we buy healthy choice fudge pops they sometimes are icy. i think low calorie ice cream tends to get that way easier when the temperature changes.

Why does all the good diet stuff have the word COW in it?? Hmmm......subliminal message maybe?

Of course I'm referring to the Laughing Cow wedges! Woo hoo!
