Talking Starting up weight watchers...Again!

My name is Kelli. I'm new to these boards. I've started doing weight watchers again. (started on Jan.1st) I'll try to spend some time on these boards for support. So far I've lost 5.4 pounds! Yay!

My first questions is: What's the difference between WW Core and WW Flex?

Welcome back!

There is a sticky topic at the top of this forum called "WW in a nutshell - summary, exercise and eating out" that should answer your question; sorry I can't link it but I haven't reached 25 posts just yet

I wish you all the best in your weight loss journey! This is a great place to be posting for any help or encouragement along the way!
I started WW before the holidays, then I was bad at Christmas time...but now I'm back on track. So far I've lost 10 lbs.
Keep at it, even if you only lose 1 pound in one week...don't get too down or anything! It's going to be worth it in the end!
I'm doing the Flex program because I don't like feeling like I can't have this or that...I love it though! Have fun doing WW, it sounds like your off to a great start!

Welcome!!! I think a number of us are doing it again. It is so hard to break bad habits and then they sneak back up on us.

Welcome! You're off to a fantastic start, and it sounds like you're getting the hang of things. Typically they explain the difference between core and flex at your new member meeting, but in a nutshell on the flex plan you count points for everything you eat. With core, you eat things off of a main list and only count points for things that you eat that are not on that list. I've never done core, only flex and it has worked well for me, but I also have a friend who has never done flex, only core, with great results. It all depends on which one fits best into your lifestyle! Good luck with your continued success!!

Welcome! I do Flex, but try to keep the Core principles in mind. I think staying away from processed foods is beneficial in many ways. Also it's a good idea to choose whole grains (wheat bread and such, brown foods, brown rice, etc.) over refined grains (white bread and such, white foods, white rice, etc.) IMHO.

Welcome back, Keli! I just joined WW again recently. I am on the FLEX plan. I joined right before the holidays, fell off during christmas time and now I am back! Sounds like that happen to a few of us. WW is really a great program. Don't be afraid to ask any of us here any questions, or your WW leader! Good luck.
