So I have met some amazing people so far with my first successful thread- Thanks to all who replied to me...
Now I have a curiosity- If you dont mind me checking with you- how much have you lost on WW? I would like to hear specific success stories. Its a motivator.
You've already seen mine. My highest weight ever was the night I went in to deliver my daughter.... 262!!!! The day after she was born, I dropped to 235. I lost 10 pounds over the course of a year (not sure how), and then I started WW Aug 15 of this year and have lost 10 pounds this month!!! I love WW - I love the concept, the idea, everything about it!
I had major reproductive problems so my first run with WW was barely damage control. I gained but would have gained a lot more if I would have allowed myself free reign. Since having surgery, I have lost 14 pounds and have now settled into a post-surgery, post-start point where I hope to lose 2 pounds each week. This is so easy, especially once you identify your favorite meals and snacks, that it's really not a diet at all.
With the $ I saved from buying whole foods instead of pre-packaged junk, I was easily able to afford a monthly $15-25 pedicure as a reward. It works for me!
I started August 8th 2006. This is the only attempt I've ever made to lose weight, and to date I've lost 92 pounds. The weight just dropped off for quite a while, but since mid-june or so it's been very slow, and the last several weeks I've been playing with the same quarter of a pound! Very soon, however, I hope to be a goal and working towards lifetime!
We have similarities. I started at about 215 (last year- which I am not counting that 30 some odd loss as I am starting over...) Isnt it great!! To have lost that much!!! WOOT!!!
Hi ladies,
Well, I started WW on March 12, 2007 determined to become an "After". After 6.5 months I have lost about 55 pounds. I did do South Beach about three years ago and had lost 80 pounds, then put about 45 back on. So I wanted to do a plan that would actually teach me how to make the right choices in every situation. I am so close to being in "Onederland", a place that I haven't seen since I was in grade school, seriously. I have so much energy, I am still shocked at my reflection and my 8 year old tells me that I'm not "fat" anymore. She actually found out (in a bank) that she can now wrap her arms around me and close her hands. And yes, I cried the first time she did it, right there at the teller window! This has been an amazing journey and I can't wait to experience my "after" life! Good luck to all of ya!
Congratulations to all you losers. You're doing great and you're doing it the healthy way.
My tracker isn't accurate. I'll change it when we get back to WW. We will most likely go this week. Dh is almost to goal. I'm still a "fur piece."
My highest weight was 232 lbs. I lost 90 lbs taking diet pills and received heart valve problems in the process. I have regained over half that 90 lbs and am in the process of relosing them again. This time using WW and healthy choices.
I have had a bump in the road lately but am back on track as of this AM.
I have kept off 30 pounds and have been a lifetime member for two years. Some of my weight gain was due to a thyroid condition. But--over the past six months my endocrinologist has been reducing my dosage of medication. She feels my thyroid is improving due to the weight loss! Isn't it great to know what this weight loss can do for your health?!
