Default Anyone start their daily points at dinner time?

I got this tip from a WW friend of mine. She starts counting her daily points at dinner time instead of at breakfast time. Does anyone do this?

I do not currently do this, but I have done it in the past with success! I always started my points at dinner time; it would really help me to not snack at night, since I knew if I did I would be in trouble the next day! It also really helped in the afternoon when I had "down time" and wanted to snack, to know that if I just held out a little longer that it would be dinnertime.

There's no real reason why I'm not doing it now, I guess...when I re-re-re-restarted WW back in the fall, I just started my points at breakfast. Every now and then when I'm having trouble staying on track I think about changing up and starting them at dinnertime, but I guess I have always been able to work through it before I actually changed them.

I think maybe it also has to do with what works with your schedule, too. Either way works!!!

Paige...thanks for the info! I'm glad I'm not the only one. This time, when I started WW, I didn't do it either. I think about switching up sometimes too. My problem is, I have the thought, "Ok, I've got plenty of points, I can snack tonight". Then, I'm left with a small amount for the next day.

Have you ever tried planning out your meals in advance? I've started doing that the last few weeks, and I'm really surprised at how much it has helped me stay op. If you did switch up, if you had your meals and snacks planned out for the next day, you would know how much you could "spend" that night.

I don't plan my meals out to a specific night. I go grocery shopping for a weeks worth of food. So, what I do is write down all the options that I have for snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then, each day I can decide what I want. That way, I'm not stuck with a certain meal. I guess it's sort of a mental thing for me. I don't want to feel like I'm dieting by being on a specific meal plan. So, I guess it's planning but not. Make sense? Lol

Oh...I was going to send you an add request on myspace if thats ok.

I start my points at 5 pm....well when I am actually on plan which hasn't been often latley. I've been doing it this way for quite some time. I like knowing I can eat what I want for dinner and then eat the of my points remainder the next day. If I am a bit short I just think to myself "I only have until 5 pm then a new set of points begins" I also find that I don't tend to eat as much for dinner as I do when I start my points at breakfast. I guess it's all a mind game, but hey whatever gets you going you know?

I'm still new to WW and never heard of this... it may actually help me out. My hunger is strongest in the evenings, and it's the time I of day where I mess up when I mess up.

So you count your points from 5 to 5 instead of well, what I've been doing; when I wake up the daily points begin and they end at midnight. Hmmm. I wonder if this would confuse me, lol. Maybe it's because I'm really tired right now...I'm tryng to figure out if this wld make it easier for me as well.
