Good morning ladies!

Well it's definitely looking like the Easter bunny is going to need snowshoes here! The ground is white and my poor daffodils are drooping over! I'm hoping they are able to rebound after this! The temps dipped down into the high 20's so I'm not sure how much damage that will do to my lilac bushes

I'm off again today and am planning on making the Polish sweet bread that my mother-in-law used to make. I also need to go to the store at some point today or tomorrow to get some snack packs for the kids. I still make them Easter baskets although with more "grown up" items I bought a nice stainless steel purple travel thermos for DS' fiance (it's her favorite color).

I'm trying to keep myself busy and not do too much snacking since I'm at home. I'm reading a book by Mary Shomon on Hypothyroidism and Managing your Weight and there are some good ideas in it in terms of what foods to avoid. I'm going to try and institute some of them; although I have to admit I eat a lot of the foods that are on the "low glycemic" list as it is.

So barring the snow, the time off is nice and I actually got to "sleep in" a little this morning.

Hi to Susan, Pam! Hope everything is going well in your neck of the woods!

Lisa: Have you gotten back on "Florida" time? It takes a while to get back in the groove.

Lala: Keep up the great work on walking with Ernest! I need to dig out my tapes and start using them instead of letting them collect dust

Melissa, I cannot believe your weather. That is just awful. Your poor daffodils and lilacs. I wonder if your sweet bread is similar to my mother's Italian Easter bread? Yes, I've finally adjusted to the time change.

I need to get busy cooking, too. I need to make something for an Easter brunch at the church. Our choir sings at the 9AM and 11AM Masses, so in between we eat brunch. I'd like to make something different. I know that I have some breakfast-type casserole recipes (now to find them). On Easter Sunday afternoon, I'm going to some friends for dinner. I'm supposed to take rice pilaf and a salad. DH has to work; will make him a plate for later.

Hello to Pam, Susan, lala, Karynlee, et al and Happy Easter, Blessed Passover

Hi everyone.

Easter is getting under way here. That is the counting how many people rsvped and deciding what size ham to get.

Could be warm for us today. My easter peony is not going to let me down and will bloom.

Cool.

I had my front tooth fixed yesterday. I chipped it about 27 years ago and they finally bonded it or something like that. I now have even and straight teeth. I hate the way it feels. DP says it'll get better.

I started yet another blog on the 3fatchicks site. I love word press and it goes into a work project we're doing using it, so I am getting to play with it.

check it out.

Melissa - Snow is good, ice is not, the daffs will pop back.
