  • I figured this would be a good place to share what we're having for dinner tonight (including point values) so that we can all figure out some new foods that we can eat.

I know that we get in a rut over here. I will steam a veggie (usually green) and have a protien (fish, chicken, beef). Then, I'll usually add a healthy carb (brown rice, etc).

Sometimes, I'll mix it up and do whole wheat pasta, spaghetti sauce (with very little hamburger in the whole sauce, like one serving with veggies in the sauce) and a salad.
  • whole wheat tomato pasta, brocolli and 'chicken' strips (soy).

    Yummy!
  • I wasn't sure when I read your post earlier but here is what I had:

    1 package SteamFresh Asian Veggies
4 oz Tyson Chicken breast stirfryed in 2 tsp canola oil, soy sauce and red pepper seeds
    1 cup rice
    3 tbsp teriyaki glaze
    1 cup of milk
  • Both of those meals sound good. I need to prepare a list for shopping - the last few times I've just gone off of memory of what we needed and didn't get too many "meals" out of my shopping.
  • I love the meal that Kelly posted but I also have spiced it up by buying lettuce leaf wrappers and wrapping my steam fresh veggies in them. YUMMY and helps with getting vegetables in too
  • Mexican soup.... 1can of chick broth, 1 can of black beans rinsed and drained, 1 can of nf refried beans, 1 jar of salsa, and a can of chicken.....Throw together and heat... I got this a few weeks ago and I am addicted...A salad if still hungry
  • Hi all,

dinner tonight will be late sadly, but that's what I get for working till 8:15.

However I set up my crockpot this morning so it's just warming and waiting till I get there. Dinner tonight is Chicken & Stuffing ala Mom.

    1lb chicken tenderloins
    1cup bagged stuffing
1can cream of chicken reduced sodium soup
    1/2cup cheese
    1cup FF turkey gravy

It comes out to about 3 servings and a serving is ten points (according to my mother). - heavier on the points than I prefer but it's a pretty hardy (and easy meal) I'm putting that together with steamed veggies and exercising afterwards. Hope you all enjoyed your dinners this evening!
  • Let's see:

Broiled steak (size of a deck of cards)
    1/2cup rice with soy sauce
    1 cup asparagus, steamed
    1 glass of red wine

  • Cola Chicken
    Hi,

Last night I made one of the recipes I found on here for Cola Chicken - omigod.......it was fabulous.

    4 boneless chicken breasts (skinless)
    1 cup ketchup
    1 cup cola

The recipe says you can do it on top of the stove, but I opted for baking it at first then putting it under the broiler for abit to form abit of a crust.

So I had one breast = 4 points and the other half of my plate was steamed asparagus.
    1 orange - 1 point
    1 Weight Watcher Cake - 1 point

    Really good dinner.
  • well tonight I'm having roast chicken, roast potato, roast kumara (sweet potato) & probably some 'free' vegetables!

I just got the 'my turnaround' cookbook though, so tomorrow night will do something from that!

OMG absolutely! It is DIVINE isn't it!!!!! Who'd have thought that coke, ketchup (tomato sauce for me lol) & chicken could taste sooooo nice!
  • sweet potatoes, arugula salad with lemon and olive oil and porkchop with dried oranges.
  • Beef Roast w/ gravy, mashed potatoes w/gravy, corn.
