Default I officially joined!

I recruited my mom and last night we attended a WW meeting. We've both been before (she went just once...I went a few times). We were sitting in the car talking about losing weight and when I got home I looked up the local meeting and we both decided to go for it! I was originally suppose to start Jan 1 but here I am! Today is day one. I'm really excited. I've had such good luck with WW I'm hoping the meetings keep me motivated.

My goal is to lose at least 120lbs, 10lbs a month, by Jan 08 (approx 2-2 1/2 lbs a week).

Today was my first day and it went well. I was a little hungry but we've been eating out a lot lately and just eating period so my body is adjusting. Trying to focus on other things and stay motivated!

The first round of WW (2005) I found that carrots (free points) got me thru the first 3 days when I felt like I was dying. Like you I had come off of eating out ALOT, well basically eating alot.
My second time around (started 1-8) I didn't find that I was particularly hungry all the time. Even though I had gained all of my lost weight back from before, I know that it wasn't so much WHAT I was eating (ok so when I realized I was having peanut M&M's almost every day for the past couple of mths) but my problem lies in serving sizes. I definatly can't eyeball portions!

You are lucky to have your mom willing to go with you. I don't have anyone to go. In fact since I am going to meetings on Mondays in the morning, I think even at 35 I have to be the youngest person there, I am not sure I will find friends there either, ya know. So I am depending on this site to get my real support and friendly motivation.

I didn't realize carrots were 0 pts. I thought they were 1pt.

The hunger is decreasing. Today and yesterday I slipped off the wagon but I told DH that tomorrow I'm going to do well and that we should start walking to make up for it! We're also looking at the local gym to join up and start exercising!

Welcome! =) I just started last week myself. The first couple/few days I felt like I was starving to death- but the last couple of days I feel like I am overeating. I have to make myself eat something so I can use all of my points. I think it's just psychological.

I love it so far though. I really can have anything I have in my kitchen already and have the things I like. I just need to have more veggies and everything in moderation.

Keep up the good work and keep us updated!
