hi kim!
i know i find it hard to exercise later too. be careful shoveling ok? itsd hard work. let the pliow do what it can:)

derrydaughter 01-25-2007 02:59 PM

Kim, at least shovelling snow is good exercise?
I'm being lazy today, haven't gotten much done around here that needs doing. It's just been cold, cold and more cold and I can't get excited about doing anything.
I have been "good" as far as what I've eaten, at least, though.

i know what ya mean. its snowing....

derrydaughter 01-25-2007 03:44 PM

Wish it was snowing here, then the "barren" landscape would look pretty, at least. I actually love a good blizzard now and then, as long as I keep power on!
Shall we agree to drink a glass of water and do 10 sit ups? Perhaps we'll then be energized?

i hate snow!~~

hey limndas yes i need to kick my fat a into gear!! im hoping that a good massage will relax me enough to stop eating so much cuz its worked before. i also may have a trainer.

derrydaughter 01-26-2007 08:00 AM

A trainer? That would be cool
When I used to live in NY, years ago, there was a YWCA near my home. It was lovely with an indoor pool and they had a class there two or three days a week called "body sculpting". I loved that class and really thought it made a difference.
Now, I rely on a VHS tape that is similar, when I get around to doing it - and it's been a LONG time, sadly. I do use my treadmill.
So, here is it the last week in January.
How have any of us done with our goals that we set for the month?
Should we start a new thread with February goals?
I can't make goals in terms of pounds, I'm better at goals that are action oriented, then maybe the pounds will come off?

Hey girlies,

What's up in your neck of the woods today?

We got totally dumped on last night with snow. One of the girls I work with had to come pick me up in her 4W drive truck because there was no way a car could get through the snow on the roads. All plowed out now though.

Hope your day was ok.

Kim

Hey guys,

How's it going?

We finally got dug out from the snow and it speaks for more today. I shouldn't complain though because usually we have snow from October until May and this year we really didn't get dumped on until January. It looks pretty though.

I had a great weekend OP and plan on making today just as great. I'm making baked beans for supper, does anyone know about how many points I should count that as for a cup? I want to have some but don't want to go over my points. I have to weigh in Wednesday night so I don't want to do bad a couple days before.

Kim what to count for baked beans is really dependant on your recipe, sounds good to me though. I love them, but most of my family dislikes them.
I love my family, but there are frustrating times when I say to myself, "If I lived alone, I would be skinny and eat completely different". However, I want them with me and I need to just learn to deal with the foods they have in this house.
I can't inflict my foods on others who can eat different from me.

hey guys!

good goin kim! ill look it up for ya in a bit:)

hi linda! yea sometimes its very hard.

nibs 01-29-2007 02:37 PM

Well I just got off the treadmill. What a workout!!! I never thought walking could be so vigerous.

I am at my 3rd bottle of water so when that one is gone I will have drank 48 ozs. I will get more in this evening. I may even go for another walk or get on my elliptical for a little....don't know though, don't want to push it.

I guess derry I will just use the WW book and count my points that way for the beans. For half a cup it's 5 points..I am going to have probably a cup and I will still stay within my points.

Hope you all are having a great day

good job kim!!

The baked beans were delicious but boy aren't they gassy. Going to have a coffee now then try to get the day started. Anyone else for coffee, I can put on extra...;)

I have my Dunkin Doughnuts coffee right beside me! I dropped my daughter off at school and stopped on the way back. Milk and Splenda for me, vs. cream and sugar, of course.
I think 5 points for a half cut sounds like a great deal of points. Did you use a fat in with them while cooking them like a salt pork or bacon? Or, was the recipe more vegetarian? I think there is a huge difference depending on the recipe.
I had my fish, baked potato and asparagus last night, it was good. I had SF,FF chocolate pudding with lite cool whip afterwards. I stayed on program yesterday very well and I am keeping my fingers crossed regarding my weigh in late this afternoon.
I stayed the same last time and would dearly love to lose something. But, I can't be sure at all.
Linda
