Default I'm back!!!!

I am so thrilled to be back in the swing of things! After 7 months of frustration because of a torn miniscus, and then subsequent pain which turned out to be....not arthritis as my ortho kept insisting...but bursitis of the per anserine (where the hamstrings swing around to the front below the knee). A cortisone shot and lots of hamstring stretches seem to be doing the trick. Finally I can do cardio again! Before, even a walk of one block would throw me for a loop.

And, here's the exciting news. My former trainer recommended me to Bally as a trainer (even being more than 15 lbs overweight as a result of the injury) and I've been accepted! I am so psyched! I signed up for ACE certification which I will be taking in May, and will start training immediately at Bally, even without my certification. I think they are desperate for trainers in the early morning. i've been studying like crazy so I don't steer anyone in the wrong direction before I am qualified. It's been good incentive to get well and get back into shape, and every time I reach for the food I slap my hand and say...what are you working towards? That seems to do the trick.

So....I'm back, look forward to talking with you all during the process, and probably asking for advice along the way.
