Default Strength benefits of kickboxing

Hi, I was wondering if activities like kickboxing, spinning, and step can take the place of weight lifting? What benefits to they offer in terms of toning?

Hey there -

IMO, the three activities you mention (kickboxing, spinning, step) are all considered forms of aerobic activity (i.e. cardio). They are great as part of your overall program, but (again IMO) definitely not a subsitute for anaerobic weight training.

Toning - I read something once that said "tone is a knob on your radio"!
