yay!!
Thanks girls!
I am off to get me some PB tonight!! he he he I remember from my WW days... that the regular PB is not 'sugar' points, but the lite brand was over their limit and even though it was one point less than regular, they were 'sugar' points.... goes to show that low fat is not always the best option, usually the highest sugar option. A technicality from a friend of mine that LOVES her PB!! Also... the sandwiches noted above was put onto me by an aussie.... I had tried PB and Banana before... but the 'tasty' cheese puts it over the top.... Free day - - another sick and twisted concoction... can you tell I love and crave bread? Granny smith apple cut up in small small pieces, 1 slice cheese, toasted on 2 pieces of bread in a sandwich maker..... devine. Must go now.... and stay away from PB and cheese! ha ha ha :) Nola. |
Hello everyone!
Mel~ It does feel great to know that I CAN run a mile! I’ve actually set up a time on Saturday to go run with my friend Cathy. I’m very excited about that! I’ve always thought that PB in moderation is just fine…I only buy the natural variety tho…I find that the other stuff is too sweet, and after eating natural, doesn’t taste very good either! PB, CC and Cocoa…I want to know too…I usually don’t have problems with chocolate…but sometimes, ya just gotta have it! Do y’all put splenda or something in it? I’ve done CC and cocoa before, and like that, but had to use splenda! My workouts this week have been wonderful. I truly think that adding the evil step ups between sets has made an immediate difference for me cardio-wise. Today I did the parking lot lunges, and I wasn’t even breathing heavy when I was finished! I also did the step aerobics class, and it was tough because I had lifted legs, but it sure felt good! Kanola~ I have to admit that I’ve never had PB and cheese, but I’ve done the PB and banana and PBJ toasted sandwiches. Fortunately, PB is not as much of an issue for me as it used to be. Have a great evening/day wherever you are in the world! Lois |
Hey Everybody!
I started a decent post last night but lost it when I got an error message after too many pop-ups took control and I got an error message. This computer, actually one of my DH's, got hit with a spyware file and the harddrive has to be reformatted. My computer is upstairs, but this one here on the 1st floor is more convenient. It wouldn't hurt me though to take the stairs a few more times a day to use mine. Just a habit. Lo, these gals got me to switch to the natural PB too, and memories of the other are wax in comparison; stick a wick in a jar of Skippy and I bet it'd burn. Evil PB connoction - PB, bananas, cheese, baloney and mayo on toast or grilled. Haven't had one in a long, long time and have no intention of ever having one again. Today is LBWO and I'm looking forward to it. Never thought I'd be excited over a date with a leg press. Audrey, I'm going to wear a headset at the gym - good idea. I have a useless set of micro headphones some where and may cut off the wires and just wear it, LOL. DH is a McGwyver type and saves anything electronic rendered useless. Cindy - I miss your posts already. Safe Passage in your travels! Well, on with the day! Hello to all and I hope you have a safe and healthy day! dip |

Mel -- your PB concoction is WAYYYYYYYY too good for words, it's a keeper!! I added a tsp of vanilla, I love vanilla!! I've broken it down on Fitday with my ingredients and here is the break down: 235 cals, 10g fat, 18g carbs, 21g pro..... I think I would call this Mel's Crunchy Lumpy Puddin' Later all... |
Morning girls, and just when I decided I had to banish PB from the house. I managed 1 jar just a portion at a time but by the second jar I bought I was sneakin' it during the day. Still keeping the recipe though, for the day I feel strong again. It sounds like my kinda good.
Well to keep the board politicized, I'll speak up for all those that are HORRIFIED about the new governor of California. Sorry, just had to let you know we are out here. I broke my low weight this a.m., after struggling last week not to put every last lb. back on again. Could it be because there is no PB in the house!?! Why does it have to be so problematic, I love it so and agree it's good for you. |
hmm... Salmon (which I can manage occasionally in small doses) and PB are what I'm missing most in the Fat Burning stage of the Physique Transformation program. With fat at 8% of my diet, and Nuts on the no-no list for now, I'll have to enjoy my PB by proxy. during conditioning, it was my favorite add-in food. As in, my fats are below the # for the day, put another tsp of peanut butter in the blender with the MRP or Protein powder. It tasted great with both the chocolate AND the vanilla PP, btw. My other favorite was in my oatmeal. In fact, I haven't had a bowl of oatmeal since I started FB cause it's not the same without the PB. ok.. it was summer time and too hot to be cooking hot food.. but I'm getting used to having oats in PP shakes or in eggwhite pancakes. I was getting the natural PB at Trader Joes. No salt added cause we have to watch that on this program, and definitely no sugar. There were two types I'd get.. We prefer the chunky, but in a pinch the creamy would do.. ingredients were 100% Peanuts and nothing else. YUM!
ok.. I'd better stop day-dreaming about PB and get back to work. Big doings today.. we went to city hall this morning to get our marriage certificate. The wedding is just over 3 weeks away. How did it get here so fast????? Karen, are you getting to play with the newest version of Dreamweaver? I'm liking all the improvements. :) It just flows better. Lois, excellent on the running. :) |
