My friend is a competitive body builder, for my bday she bought me protizyne...peanut butter cookie flavor. She uses it as a post worlout supplement. I'm trying to use it as a meal replacement. It tastes good but doesn't get thick enough so I feel satisfied...does that make sense?

I try to remember drink at least 1 dymatize shake a day when I'm training. When I'm trying to reset my calorie point, I use them in place of breakfast, kind of like a healthier version of slim fast.

I use "Plant Fusion" protein shakes- it's a pretty low calorie but long-lasting and satisfying protein shake. It's vegan and the protein largely comes from peas. I'm allergic to dairy, that's why I don't use whey. I have nothing against it.

I try to eat my protein, but I do like having protein shakes as a snack once in a while. I usually make smoothies with frozen fruit, natural yogurt, chia seeds and a little water. I prefer using hemp protein because of the fiber and extra nutrients (it keeps me full for hours), but I also use whey protein isolate that has 30g of protein per scoop.

A protein shake won't provide that surge during your hour-long workout.
