Another great week!
HEY HEY! :dancer: Ain't life grand?
Well it's Monday in Sunny Sydney and day 2 of the 3rd week! Wow time flies when you are having fun. I had a great weekend with loads of sleep and fun. I went out shopping with hubby on Saturday and he bought up a storm! Then I slept in until late on Sunday and pottered around the house all day. I had a great back/bis workout with sprints yesterday and I did quads/abs this morning. I have a jog with my dogs scheduled for this evening before classes. I had an excellant free day and actually took an entire free day since I was desperate for a good feeding. Hubby and I went out for bacon and eggs for breakfast, then I had a sandwich for lunch and chinese for dinner. I still stuck with my no sugar rule although the cake I saw at lunch was very tempting. Then on Saturday night we went to the movie and we walked past my favourite gelato bar which was extremely tempting. But I resisted, we still went there but I had a cup of coffee and Ray was nice and had a hot chocolate with me even though he wanted ice cream. :smug: susan: so glad that the glutamine is working! I had to stock up myself on the weekend when I was shopping. I tend to try and focus on how good I feel as well. It reminds me that if you treat your body right it will treat you right back! I have never had so much energy! Even on Friday afternoon I went to the gym for a run after my workout even though it wasn't scheduled. I was just full of beans! :twirly: MrsJim: I have heard stories of squeaky before and how Sparky goes NUTS when he sees her. What a cack! We had new neighbours move in recently and they put a cat run down the side of our adjoining fence. Anyway it drove Bas (my beagle) bananas for a few days because he could smell something but he didn't know what it was! He hasn't had much experience with cats before so he wasn't sure what it was. All the howling drove hubby bananas as well. Mel: short and sweet - I love it! Lana: I am an antique buff as well. I love all those olds things and one day when we get our own home I want to go the whole hog and have wooden floorboards, picture rails, lead-light windows, bay windows, fireplaces, brass fittings throughout etc. I have a box full of pictures and designs for how I want my house to be and I can't wait to furnish it all. We bought a huge rug for our study (eventually) and the next thing I want to get is a Chesterfield 3-seater for the study as well. We already have the four-poster bed and mahogany tallboys. We will probably end up getting an old house and renovating it eventually. :chin: I was thinking over the weekend about this sprint and how well it has gone so far and how motivated I have been which shocks me after 6 weeks of blah eating and little exercise. I was trying to analyse why it was working this time and the only thing I could come to was that it was you guys. The prospect of starting the sprint on my own a month ago was a bit daunting I must admit and I seriously don't think that I would have stuck with it if you guys hadn't have jumped on board and done it with me! It reminds me of how much further you can go in life and how you can achieve more if you have the support of the people around you. :grouphug: So I just want to thank each and every one of you for being there for me and listening to me rave on all the time - it means so much to me to know that other people care. I only hope that I can give as much to you as you have given to me! Thanks! :cp: JC |
JEC: I have been thinking similar things. That it has gone well and I am VERY motivated. I did a nice back/bis workout yesterday, threw some tris in as well. Then I hit the pool for about 30 minutes. It was a nice swim and then yoga class.
I didn't take free day or meal yesterday. I did eat more fruit and melba toast than I normally do but had no big cravings to go off my plan so I didn't. I am starting to yearn for barbque ribs (the west has great barbeque). I'm thinking about taking a free meal or modified free day on Thursday. Today is cardio and maybe yoga. They have yoga so late at my gym that I want to go in the early morning but by the time it rolls around, I'm exhausted. |
