Default I was pumped!! I think?

I made the terrible mistake of measuring myself after a pretty intense cardio/weight training session at the gym. My thighs were both up 1", my waist was up 2" and my hips up 1". I'm assuming this has something to do with my workout but what the heck do I know??? Of course I was back down to normal the next day. Was it because of the workout? Maybe that's why I always see guys doing push-ups and crunches before dates on movies and TV

It's water retention. Muscles, for some reason that is unknown to me, hold onto water after you give them an intense workout. But, as you observed, the water goes away. Good for you for working hard enough to get your muscles to hold water.

If you measured within minutes of finishing, it's also blood. That's what the "pump" is. The muscles that are working hardest have increased blood flow in them.

Measure when you are nice a dried out after you get up in the morning- just like weighing Unless you are goal is muscle growth and just want to see some more impressive numbers
